Why does my cursor hide itself when typing?

When typing in a form my cursor hides itself and I cannot run back easily and retype something. How do i fix this.

My cursor hides when I do anything with the keyboard. Page up or down, arrow keys, change tabs, ... but comes back when mouse is moved. Must be a 10.6 bug. It's really irritating.

O 10.6 on OSX 10.5.8

I have the same problem - 2 seconds after I stop moving the mouse, the cursor disappears; it reappears when I move the mouse again (this occurs anywhere within Opera window - over plain text, a button, any panel, like Bookmarks or main panel, etc). Aside: I have mouse gestures on & they work.

But I noticed it started to happen in the very latest version of the previous release of Opera (10.54??, 10.56?? - I forget] - and that is why I so quickly moved to 10.60. I checked other apps, including other browsers (FF) - no such problem, so it is not a general Windows configuration issue (there was no change - MS Patch Tuesday isn't for another week; I'm using XP Pro on a Dell laptop; I did recently update to latest Adobe PDF Reader bug fix, but never use it, tho it may have dropped something in I suppose; but again no other app or browser has the issue).

This is REALLY bad - even typing this is in, if I use the mouse, the mouse position is gone. Note, to be clear, as I type this, the text-cursor remains visible and blinking; I can use the up & down arrow keys, etc., & the cursor goes where it should & remains visible; it is ONLY the mouse cursor position that is affected.

Hope this helps and we get a quick fix. Even an ardent Opera supporter like me won't hang around forever it is so annoying.

Quick further note - I upgraded another laptop (older Toshiba Satellite, XP Pro) - I don't use it (my kid does) so am almost 100% sure it didn't get the last pre-10.60 official update. Anyway it doesn't have the cursor problem - seems to work fine. So again suggests the problem was something in that previous version.
