Opera Adblock?
I googled this and didn't really get anything. Firefox has a addon called "Adblock Plus" which practically blocks all ads.I'm curious if there is something like this for Opera that works in the same way and or it may be a suggestion for Opera to perhaps design something like this feature in 10.60.

Opera already blocks ads fairly well if you ask me

I'm confused about how to install them and I'm curious to know if they block adds as well as ad-block plus. I want to block ads yes, but I don't want to block too much content.
I do use the Hosts file and it's great to block adservers. I also use Spybot Search & Destroy which lists somewhere between ten and twenty thousands of bad sites in the Hosts file.
Do not install a Hosts file unless you know it can be trusted. A malicious crafted Hosts file isn't what you want. Dedicated anti-spyware forums may be a place to look for in-depth info.

Opera is fast and I like the integrated e-mail client.
But since its impossible to find an easy and easy usable adblocker it really drags Opera down below the other browsers as Firefox and chrome.
I dont see that I will continue using opera as long as it lacks this feature.
The blocks Ive seen are too advanced to use in comparison to just downloading Firefox and installing adblock plus.
I have no interest in fixing inside the ini files etc to stop the ads.
I just want the developers to fix this, then it would be a wonderful browser!

I think it is the cleanest, best way to block ads.
No extra script/code is required, it blocks ads in every browser I use,
and does it without loading anything, so it speeds up browsing.
There is no input required at all.
The file is updated every month or so.
Install is automatic, if you download the "hosts.zip" file.
It is worth a look.

Fanboy's list is easy to install, just see the post above mine. Remember, do not edit the ini file with Opera open!
I have been using Fanboy's list for a few years now and am very satisfied with the results. On occasion I have encountered a problem with a site due to the list, the last being NHL.com. The solution can from Tamil's site: http://my.opera.com/Tamil/blog/ad-block?startidx=200. I would recommend installing his "Block Ads" button so that you can toggle between allowing ads and blocking ads. Good luck.

I agree with the request but I think there is a very similar adblock(er) native in opera : You go(up/down) in the page where the ad is, then you right click on a white part of the page near the ad, a menu appears, down you have "block the content..." (or equivalent), you click on it, then you are in the blocker, you hold maj and left click on the ad/pub you don't want and bingo it disappears.(a bit longer than adblock 3 clicks instead of one)
