Twitter rounded corners!?

Look at this comparison... Why Opera doesn't loads the rounded corners as Firefox does? (remember: 10.50 supports border-radius!) And look at the thinner fonts Opera has...

Because they seem to be using everything <i>but</i> the basic "border-radius", they are using:
-moz-border-radius
-moz-box-shadow
-webkit-border-radius
-webkit-box-shadow
-khtml-border-radius
-icab-border-radius

and even the older Opera one using -o-border-radius... but they don't seem to be using just "border-radius".

I don't wanna dig through the entire CSS, but if they are using the basic one, Opera might have just given up before it got to it with all the other codes in there.

As an example, border-radius works fine <a href="http://76.11.58.186/QuickEdit.htm">here</a> for 10.5+...

<b>Edit</b>: take a look at the <a href="http://a1.twimg.com/a/1274899949/stylesheets/twitter.css?1275079998">CSS</a>...

"<i>-webkit-border-radius:5px;-moz-border-radius:5px;border-radius:5px</i>"

So the basic one is there, for some of them at least... maybe it's another problem with the CSS? The error dialog spits out a lot.

I'll try to contact Twitter customer support when I remember how to do so (yes, I'm crazy).
Thanks for the detailed answer and the link to the CSS for analysis! smile

Why they invented this webkit-border-radius and moz-border-radius sh*t? irked

I sent something about this to Twitter support a while ago, but never got a reply. I hope you have better luck!

I wonder how difficult it would be to fix this with a userscript.

Until this gets fixed, you can always fix it with user css. Unfortunately, there's quite a lot to fix, which gave me an opportunity to test a project I've been working on. Try using this stylesheet. Most of it is automatically generated based on what is left out of the twitter style sheets.

twitter.css

Save the file, go to twitter, open Edit Site Preferences->Display, and change My Style Sheet to the user css.
