Opera Mobile 10 and popups

I upgraded to version 10, but I am having problem accessing a site from my workplace.
I suspect that it has something to do with the popups handling.
Version 9.7 works fine.
Version 10 does not.

When I test with a popup website, they both react differently. 9.7 shows the main page, where 10 will actually show the popup window. But both do not open another tab.
Could you guide me on how to change the popup settings ? I did some research but couldn't find anything.

Thanks.

This is one extremely annoying issue and needs to be resolved asap as i can no longer access internet banking due to this.
This issue was highlighted by several people during the beta phase but it would appear that, so far, this functionality that was present in Opera 9 has been lost.
Opera 10 is great, but lacking this basic functionality is a bit mickey mouse tbh.

Single-window browsing (0/1)

Single-window browsing means open all pages in the same window -- you may want to try setting that to "0" for "No" if the value is currently "1".

I'm not sure if the pop-ups you are trying to work with are treated by OM 10 as unrequested or requested, but "0" might be necessary in this case, as well.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the advice. I tried both without success. Don't understand what they could have changed from 9.7 to 10.

I agree with you. Opera 10 is very user friendly, but with this problem... that's a no go for me.

i agree with this. the old browser works fine with my work website. opera 10 doesnt open up in a new window. tried disabling the single mode browser setting still doesnt work. this is just a basic feature but it seems opera 10 is not capable. i suggest use netfront to fix this problem. netfront for work browsing. opera for casual browsing. hope this helps.

any comment from the opera team on this one or are you ignoring the people who use your product?

any update on this? well, I sometimes use my phone on our work website, the home page is actually divided into two, the left side is the menu bar (contains like Messages/Edit/Login/Logoff etc) and the right side is the main page. Using the old opera browser, 9 and above, when i click the menu example messages, it opens up a new window (which is the right thing) but when I use the opera 10, it opens in the same window, so i lose the menu bar, instead my menu bar becomes my messages. The menu bar uses java script by the way. - Netfront 4.1 concept works like a charm on this issue. any ideas?
