question about installing .jad & .jar files on mobile
I find the instructions for installing Opera Mini 4 confusing. Maybe someone can help.the Opera website says to downloand the .jad file, then the the .jar file. The .jar file is indented below the .jad file. What does that mean exactly? To download and install both in that order? Or does the .jad file install the .jar file?
I downloaded and transfered both files to my mobile (Samsung Jet s8000), but couldn't figure how to install. When I selected each one in turn, the phone told me the particular file type was unsupported. I know for 100% that my phone supports Java. Normally when I have transferred Java files in the past, an "install" choice appears on the phone.
Go to mini.opera.com and then download the version you want.
remember to visit the site with your default browser.
it will auto detect your phone.

The main file is .jar file.but where it located and its permison certificats are in .jad file.so when you click on it,it automaticaly locate and install jar file,acording to its midlet jar url tag.but if your phone says the invalid file, either it not support jad without downloading. Or you may copyed these files from another phone.becoz if i downloaded and install any app in my phone.it will not work on your phone if you copy.but if i copy a app in my phone and it is working them it will work on ur phone also.understand diff between copying and installation
