The new seachbox (ctrl+f).

Hello, first I'm French so sorry for the bad English you guys will see.

I browse Internet on my EEEPC (small screen) and I have to say that the new search system is a bit useless and but is a pure waste of time.

I use to search a lot before, now I every time I think about searching I've to prepare my self to suffer.

Why do every time I close or switch to another tab I have to type again all the terms I've searched for before ?
Why is there no way to place the bar where I want on the screen so I don't have to wipe my fingers on the touch pad again ? Why a so bad Idea ?

Thanks and if there is (a simple) option to configure this.

Start typing in the search box and you will see your previous 3 searches, narrowing to right one as you type
Press right mouse button on toolbar, Customize, Appearance and you are in toolbar edit mode. Add buttons/widgets, move them as you like

А то ишь, развонялся
Use everywhere!

Opera2: 11.51 on WinXP 32, P4 2.4

When I first tried Firefox the only thing I was hopping that Opera will not use is this search system.

Sorry for the mistake, I'm talking about the CTRL+F search (searching on a page).

How can I fix that ?

Hello,

This may or may not work

Inline Search

place a tick in the dialogue box, restart opera.

As for youre second request:

Hit Ctrl+F to bring the search function.
-Go to menu > Appearance.
Select the Inline search we brought up before (you should see a yellow rectangle highlight the whole panel.)
-Under the Toolbar Tab, you are presented with a option called 'Placement' (Default is Top)
-Select the one till your little heart contends.

*Remember: You can do this with any toolbar of your choosing.

Regards,
