Is there a site like "Opera For Dummies?"
I just downloaded Opera to my Linux Mint 8 'Helena' partition and am have trouble interpreting the set up instructions (bookmarks toolbar, etc).I am reasonably literate having worked with IE8, Firefox, Swiftfox, K-Meleon, on both Windows XP and Linux Mint. I believe the terminology is confusing me. Would really appreciate a referral to a site which can help me beyond the tutorials on Opera. Would I be better off setting up Opera on Windows XP first??
I do have a post graduate degree, so I am not too dense, even if my appearance suggests otherwise.
Thanks,
Dick
Hi there,
at this moment, i can recall two sites, that may be of some help,
http://www.aimwell.org/Help/Tips/tips.html
and
http://operawiki.info/VisualTutorials
Doesnt make any difference where to install opera first.
Lets say for example, that you install opera to os1 first. Then, by using the menu FILE>IMPORT and EXPORT, you can export and save somewhere your bookmarks and then, move them to the second OS. From there, select again FILE>IMPORT and EXPORT to import the bookmarks.
I suggest you to start messing around with the tab TOOLS, submenus APPEARANCE and PREFERENCES.
(If you have a fast connection, DO NOT enable Opera Turbo. Leave it to automatic).
Enjoy Opera!

Hmmm, that looks mean with only two words. I don't mean it that way; Opera's help pages are among the best out there and surely the best place to start.
