Desktop menu, Nautilus and icons suddenly switched themes...
Yeah, I'm wondering if any of you could help me... but, apparently, the desktop right click command and the Nautilus file manager switched to a different icon theme without my interaction. Also, Nautilus makes an annoying beep sound whenever I click on something on it. Everything else isn't affected. Please, help this Linux newbie out...Go to ExtendOpera.org for all your customization needs.
I'm using a Windows 7 - Ubuntu 10.04 dual-boot. I figured that restarting would help, so I tried restarting and that ended up working...
This topic can be forgotten about and/or locked now as I figured it out on my own. Don't you just love it when you are looking for something or how to do something, you ask where it is or for help, and then you end up finding what you were looking for or solving your issue on your own?

although an old topic, I have only recently run into the same issue -- ubuntu (11.10) nautilus icons changing to ugly ones on closing opera (11.52), not always, but often. you don't have to restart the computer (if that's what Quadunit404 meant), it's enough to close nautilus (under processes), and starting it again (launcher). here is a bug report (later marked as duplicate, but more specifially mentioning opera) https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/881263
