Adobe Reader 9.3.2 + Opera 10.5.3 - unable to open email PDF-attachment
Dear all,This is my first post in My Opera and I you´re able to solve my problem.
I received an email with a PDF-attachment, but was unable to open it as Opera notified me that there was no application to open an extension like that attachment.
I have installed Opera on my recently purchased Notebook - before on my desktop I used IE8 and Foxit Reader, never had any problems. So, initially I also installed Foxit on my Notebook. But having read favourable reviews about Adobe 9.3, I removed Foxit and installed Adobe Reader 9.3.2.
Could it be that Opera somewhere deep down inside has still some setting that tells it to open such PDF files with Foxit?? And if so, how do I undo it?
Or is there any other cause - like to hear your opinions. Thanks a lot in advance.

Its working for me, opening in whichever application I choose from the "Open With" submenu or my default viewer — PDF-XChange — if I just choose "Open." It doesn't use the plugin though, which it does for linked PDF files on web pages.
One possible solution is to move operaprefs.ini from your \profile\ folder (Help About for its location) which will reset Opera to its default preferences. You will have to make some changes again, but it fixes a lot of problems which can otherwise take a while to diagnose and fix.
If PDF files open correctly in Adobe Reader when double-clicked in Windows Explorer then your file associations are no longer set to Foxit Reader.
