Sometimes you want a game to add your cursor. (Crosshair, helper)
Or a photo editor. (Pipet, Crop, lines)
In his slideshow, it would be good to remove. (none)

The point is Opera does not support:
cursor:url("") which is a "standard"
cursor:none which isn't a standard, but it's a value for almost all elements, so sort of naturally to assume "cursor" uses the same.

But what does "cursor:none" mean exactly? That there is no cursor at all? There's cursor:auto and cursor:inherit for what you are thinking of.

As for cursor:url(), wonder what's going on exactly...

Opera can adapt to the world, but that should not be at the cost of making any of them both stupider

auto/inherit is the same as default. cursor:none would be... no cursor, the same as other tags that are sort of object orientated, or add visual elements:
display:none
background-image:none
text-decoration:none
border-style:none
text-transform:none

I and many other developers, in particular developers of widgets, we wait for support cursor:url ()!
As it will help, to refine quality and clearness of applications created by us.

It would be desirable to remind, the given property completely works and is supported in FF, IE, Chrome, Safari

Say what? Looks like a standard to me, rather than a "standard."

It's in here, which is a near-standard, or "standard" if you will.

+1 as this property makes a tiny bit sense if you consider webstandards-driven games (although 90% would be eyecandy or annoyances most surely -.-)
