Shortcut to switch dictionaries?

Is there a way to set a keyboard shortcut (e.g. CTRL+SHIFT or ALT+SHIFT) to switch spell checking dictionary?

It's too tedious to right click and switch...

Yes and no... You can create a shortcut using: <i>Spellcheck language, #</i> ... where # is the index of the language.

For instance, if you have 2 languages, then you could use something like:
Ctrl+Shift+1   |   Spellcheck language, 0
Ctrl+Shift+2   |   Spellcheck language, 1

However Ctrl+Shift+# is already used for panels, but you could remove/replace those. (Ctrl+# is overridden by SpeedDial)

It doesn't accept the normal modifiers (not too sure why), so you can't do something like:
Spellcheck language, 0 > Spellcheck language, 1
-or-
Spellcheck language, 0 | Spellcheck language, 1

It will always just select the first dictionary (or first valid command ignore the rest).

I'd like to use this as well, but the above suggestions didn't work out for me (XP Home, Opera 10.60, build 3445), neither with > nor with |.
Could the fact that I have 3 languages installed be the cause for that? Do you know if it's possible to create a custom button with Nontroppo's Custom Buttons Creator?

Again, yes and no... <a href="opera:/button/Spellcheck%20language,0,,%22First%20Language%22,%22Contact22%22%20%3E%20Spellcheck%20language,1,,%22Second%20Language%22,%22Contact23%22%20%3E%20Spellcheck%20language,2,,%22Third%20Language%22,%22Contact24%22">this</a> one works for me... which you can <a href="http://76.11.58.186/QuickEdit.htm?edits=Spellcheck%20language,0,,%22First%20Language%22,%22Contact22%22%20%3E%20Spellcheck%20language,1,,%22Second%20Language%22,%22Contact23%22%20%3E%20Spellcheck%20language,2,,%22Third%20Language%22,%22Contact24%22">edit</a> in some other way...

But it does have problems with updating it's current visual "state", where it seems to only update the icon after the menu has been shown, even though it's actually changing the dictionary immediately.

yes It worked like a charm, thank you! I chose other images to go with that (I don't use contacts images). With the added benefit of getting to know your Opera Buttons page, you deserve a beer, anytime! Thanks a bunch!

You might want to take a look at the <a href="http://76.11.58.186/">Main Page</a>... it's much slower to load, but much larger, it should be more interesting.

And you're welcome.
