Problem with Tumblr dropdown menu
Hi, I'm using 10.51 but have also tried this with the latest 10.53 on a clean install and still have the same problem. Have tried masking as FF or IE and so far that has not helped. There is a drop-down menu in the Tumblr.com account dashboard which has links to account settings, help and logout. Clicking on the dropdown works to make the dropdown appear, but clicking on the two lowest links in the dropdown does not register. The uppermost link sometimes works if you can position your mouse just right.
I am guessing this is a javascript dropdown menu and possibly there is some kind of coding issue to do with layers - the dropdown overlaps with the content areas below it so maybe there is a layering problem.
I did a search for Tumblr and have found no mention of this problem here, so I am posting in the hopes that others have already figured out the workaround for this issue.
(I tried loading the site in Firefox and had the exact same problem, so it seems to be a coding thing on their end. But the strange thing is that no one seems to be complaining about it, which makes me wonder if there is something specific to the way I configure my browsers or something. Maybe a specific javascript setting that I should allow or disallow?)
Hope someone can help, thanks very much in advance!
I have the same issue, and have had it for at least a month. Also the menu that used to pop up in the bottom of the window with links to Help, Staff Blog, API etc. (when you are in endless scroll mode) is not visible although the links are there - hovering over the bottom, you can see the link targets in the status bar.
I found a couple of workarounds for the Account menu issue: You can open the Opera Links panel and find the links there, or you can use keyboard spatial navigation (shift+arrow keys and enter).
It's pretty annoying...
