Opera emails mostly shows up under "Filters" only
Hi. I have been using Opera as an email client since years. But with latest version, both my old and my incoming emails mostly
shows up under "Filters" only, and not at all under "Recieved".
I upgraded to version 10.54 using Opera upgrade tool, and also
my emails was "controlled" by Opera tool upon request to me.
Is this a known bug? I tried to find any related topic, but could not find.
I have a Pentium 4 CPU running at 2,8 GHz single core, with 3,0 GB of RAM.
Yours sincerely,
Do you see the messages then?
If so, that means one of your filters (that's set to "mark messages as filtered") has a rule that's matching all messages. This could be a filter you created, or the spam filter (if "learn" is checked).
Check View -> Show -> Show read etc. too.
If none of that helps, somethings probably corrupted.
You could try going in the properties of each filter and clicking "apply filter" to see if it does anything.
You could right-click in the mail panel and make sure you're showing messages from all accounts.
You could close down Opera, delete the cache, opcache, and temporary_downloads folders. See "Help -> About Opera" for the location.
You could set the Mail Database Consistency Check Time to 0, save the change and restart Opera.
Hopefully some of that works. If not, let us know.

I'm not sure what you mean by "upgrade tool". I guess you just mean that you used the Opera installer to install over the top of your existing install to upgrade it?

Wow, now every message shows...!!!
That's good. But, having "Show filtered" checked is just hiding the problem. The problem is some filter's rule is matching all of your messages.

thanks!
Forgot to add: I just upgrades to 10.6, though I have no idea if this was happing before then or not. I'm currently using POP (although this whole organizing and deleting process is about preparing to move over to IMAP).

I'm having exactly the opposite problem: I want to identify all the received mail that is not in filters and organize it or toss it. But messages I know are filtered show up in the received view, whether or not the "show-filtered" option is selected. What's up with that?
Right-click on each of your filters and make sure "mark as filtered" is checked. Then, click 'apply filter'. Then, check Show filtered for the Receive view again. Then uncheck Show filtered again.
