Feature request: the possibility of closing a poll

Hello,

I would like to be able to close a poll without deleting it so people still can see the results but can't vote anymore

Also like to suggest a provision to add time limit and/or set deadline to a poll.

I think this thread needs a poll.

To be honest, forums polls are just trivia — so this is hardly worth the effort. Just add a post at the end of your self-imposed time limit with a summary of the results so far, and a conclusion/comment about the results.

Very true. I've never added a poll to my topics (, though not many).

I thought those features could be useful when you want to put a poll in your blog sidebar. However I now realise you 'd have to eventually remove it when you want to start a new poll. Then your suggestion of posting result summary, which can be a screenshot of graph, seems more practical. Thanks for that.
