Append open tabs to certain session or/and merge session.
That would be good to add such feature, as "append to session". For example I was looking for movies to watch. Found some candidates on IMDB, saved open tabs with films as session "watch list". Next day I wanted to search more movies and add them to already created session "watch list" instead of making a new one. Or It would be good to have a possibility to merge such sessions into one.Add such feature?

Its already there, just not what you expected. Find the new movies, then use insert session to merge your previously saved session with the current tabs, and save it again.

Fully agreed, Opera needs a way to edit already saved sessions.
Maybe show them as if they were a folder of bookmarks, so we can see the URLs and add or remove new links, and merge them moving from one session to other.
It would make me very happy if opera were to do something like this. It seems that I have tried editing manually editing sessions (opera closed) with a text editor but, I don't recall ever having any success. Otherwise, I would probably be doing it all the time and know for sure whether it works. I would like to be able to do this easily to eliminate potential problem tabs in a crashed session and/or save a session from a subset of a previous session. Maybe some could write a little app that would parse session data into something more friendly to edit and save it back as an opera session file.
In the meantime, something helpful would be a way to save a single window as a session when running more than one window in an opera session. I often have multiple windows open and will drag tabs from one window to another to group subject matter. Sometimes after I have done this, I will save the session, for example, as "aaaa.win". Then, I will close opera and open session "aaaa.win" and close all windows but one. Then, save that window as "aaab.win." Then if necessary, wash rinse, repeat. It works but is a royal PITA.

Yeah, right. That topic was started Thursday, 12. April 2007 and the last post was Saturday, 12. April 2008. Quite a few people expressed a desire for better session management . However, there has been no disernable change in Opera session management since. So, it seems quite obvious that Opera devs don't give a flying fig about enhancing session management.
To reiterate, an application written by some competent third party Opera lover would be greatly appreciated! If reasonably priced, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. But, only if it's not a crappy widget.
