autofocus on input text field

Hi,

I have a page that is generated by javascript, one of the elements on the page is text input field.
I desire that this field will be focused automatically.
On previous version of the widget manager I used autofocus attribute on the field and js code (element.focus()), both options covered s60 and WM players.

with the new released widget manager 10, none of the options above is working, I just cant set the focus on the input field.

please assist,

thanks,
Oren.

Automatic focus of form fields is purposely disabled.

This is primarily to avoid software keyboards to pop up automatically when loading web pages and widgets that use this feature, as this may be perceived as very intrusive to the user.

Hi!

Does anybody know of a way to re-enable focussing (don't really need autofocus), equally on purpose?

I've got a use case where the activating of a form input without prior user interaction is desired, namely to use a barcode scanner device to enter some text.

Thanks for any hints and/or ideas.

Have fun
----Daniel
