[10.60 - 3403 (XP SP2)] Pages loading as Text

Saw one post about files loading as text, but this is when browsing.

The following link gets viewed as text in my 10.60.
http://www.caughtoffside.com/2010/06/07/arsenal-linked-with-22m-double-serie-a-swoop-emirates-outfit-target-kjaer-and-cavani/
Works in Chrome.

Can anyone confirm?

What is it?

That's not "text" by any stretch, too many missing character symbols in it. Some sort of binary data. Unfortunately the server identifies it as text/html, so Opera tries to handle it that way - and obviously fails.

Also in 10.54. I think it's a flash or silverlight file.

Symbols then, but anyway, think it's clear. Not fixed in 3409.

Same thing in 3409. Also happens to some exe and zip files and the only workaround in such case is to have direct link, which you can 'save as'. Otherwise, when the server redirects you, it's a fail.

Hello,
I think that the link you have is more of a web design problem, that a Opera problem. That is what usually happens when a author uses the wrong charset value or saves his page in the wrong format ... other that utf-8

cheers!!

Another example for this bug:

You can see this bug randomly on random sites.

mime settings are in operaprefs.ini, which is dropped on upgrading process described above. For this file server tells application/octet-stream mime type, which should be downloaded by default

I've found interest results about this bug, but I don't know where bug is really.
I know several things:
0) Opera settings are not(!!!) affect on this bug!
1) on my linux and BSD boxes this bug is not occur
2) On my virtual machine (windows) this bug is not occur
3) On my desktop this bug IS occur randomly (and every time on Adobe site)

Major differences about desktop and virtual machine are:
* firewall, antivirus
* virtualization software
* plugins: Quicktime, iTunes, java7, Adobe flash(latest, debug)

It'll be better, if someone helps me investigate where is the problem.
