is it possible to completely disable the startup dialog?

Hi everyone. We are using Opera in kiosk mode on an integrated PC-TV device. Whenever the device is powered off in a less-than-orthodox way, and sometimes even an ACPI shutdown, the next time Opera is started it shows the startup dialog, with the choice to continue from last time, start with just the home page, and so on. I have set Opera to start with the homepage, but evidently this setting is not honoured after a crash (or what Opera perceives as a crash, anyway). So I was wondering whether it's possible to override this behaviour, never showing the startup dialog and always honouring the setting (in my case, show the home page).

In opera:config, two entries appear relevant:

Show Startup Dialog

Startup Type

The first one apparently means "always show startup dialog", in other words it doesn't do what I need, instead it determines whether the dialog is shown at all startups or only after a crash.

The second one works as expected and determines how Opera starts when the startup dialog is not shown.

Is there any other setting I haven't found or identified that does what I need and excludes the startup dialog completely?

It just occurred to me that I could identify how Opera determines that it had crashed the previous time and revert or modify that. Any clue about this?

Thanks a lot in advance!

hi Welcome to the Opera Community.

Delete sessions\autosave.win file before launching Opera.

Close. I still get the Startup dialog after a crash, but the first two options are grayed out (those relative to sessions), but two remain: start from the home page and start with Speed Dial. I can imagine that disabling Speed Dial, only one option would remain and the dialog could be omitted, but I have found no way to disable it and, as of now, I can't be sure it would work. Anyone have an idea?

Thanks again!
