[win7] opera messes up uninstall/"programs and features" list

opera_install.jpg
is it a bug or a feature or am i really the only one whose programs&features list keeps getting messed up with every single opera-installation/update?

ps: i just cleaned the list with more than a dozen entries.

I reported such a bug a year (no idea how long ago exactly) ago as bug-339060 (the old bug-tracker). Upgrading a Final Version with the next one result in a new entry. So you would get something like (Opera 10.50,Opera 10.51, Opera 10.52, ...). Although i don't have this problem at least since Opera 10.50. So this could be already fixed.

In your case i am wondering if it is really a bug. As there was never a Final 10.54 and 10.60 are only snapshots i would say that simply Opera is not upgrading a beta or snapshot. So maybe you have installed a few different Opera versions on your PC.

well, depends on what you mean by "not upgrading". the setup recognizes the old/already installed version and only offers to "update" it. so i'd say this is what it's doing and therefore it should come up with a new entry in the list, should it?

That's not happening to me, though if I have Opera installed in multiple locations, Opera appears multiple times in the list. That's expected behavior though. You don't actually have multiple installations of Opera, do you?

Same problem here with Win7 64bit.
