Problem with "Open in Background Window"

Hello,

before I submit a bug report I wanted to know if it really is a bug.
In the new versions 10.53 (i think) and 10.54 (i didn't try an earlier 10.5, i am now using 10.10 again) i can't open a page in a background window. If I try to, the page opens in a new window but on top of the old one. This happens when I use the middle mouse button and when i use right-click->open in background window.
Has someone else encountered that?

System: 10.6.4

You are not alone. :-) This is a known issue.

"Open in Background Window" option still opens in the foreground in 10.60.

And as of version 11.00 it's still there.
And i have written a bug report despite the claim that it is a known bug, because apparently no one can be arsed to do anything about it.

Edit: Praise Time Machine! I'm back at 10.10. 'Open in background window' works again. Visited links are colored despite having closed and reopened Opera and i can properly cycle through my unread rss feeds. Bliss.

Many many many versions later it still doesn't work.
Neither using the middle mouse button nor doing right click -> open in background window helps.
I have deleted the modified configurations for mouse setup and keyboard setup in the advanced Tab (i vaguely remember having read something about that) and nothing changed.
Is there something else that might work? Deleting some old obscure configuration file no one has ever heard of perhaps?
Is anybody else out there with this?
Help?

Edit: Forgot to mention opera 11.61, OS X 10.6.8

Praise the Lord Opera!
Almost exactly 2 years later it finally works.
So awesome.
