Made some changes to gain some screen space on my laptop screen. This makes me to use Opera in Fullscreen modus (button as shortcut to my likings at upper right of screen), with the panel selector buttons at the left of the display, permenantly on it. I changed from using the page bar at the bottom of the screen to using the Windows panel, currently not entirely to my likings concerning page management, but I'll stroll around the forum to see whether something can be done about that. Also the relation icons <-> panels is not to my liking as such, at this moment. I also hope that the forum will help me out on that as well ...

Well, this is how it looks:

what I actually did was go to my profile?images and renamed a few icons with the sites I wanted them associated with.

Also refer to this particular post on how to add the image.

Hello there, I'm quite a noobie to Opera but, I was wondering, how did you get the menu items into that one drop down menu? usually to conserver as much space as possible, I just hide the menu and show it when ever I need (CTRL + F11) but I would like to know how you do it (if it is simple to explain and simple to do so)

Since we're geting quirky, here's my mail set-up.

The skin is MeGuidDo, with colour set to "Sea". I've tweaked the header bar in the middle of the screen. The original looked great (it was black), but when I went to 'Display all Headers' the headers page appeared on a black background so I couldn't read anything. This shade of blue is just light enough to let me see what I'm reading.

I also tweaked the mime.css file to show a few more of the headers than the MeGuidDo set-up usually allows.

1152x864, Standard Skin, System Color Theme, no menu bar,
buttons: mail, back, stop/reload, forward, bookmarks, transfers, mail, tile, cascade, fullscreen, status field, minimize, restore, close.
No search field because I use g for google, gi for google images, alltheweb alltheweb images, leo, wikipedia, wikipedia deutsch...

I still haven't found the perfect skin (space efficient, good looking, easy on the eyes, fits my windows and color theme, has buttons that are distinguishable in the blink of an eye, which includes the use of color (most "advanced" skins neglect this), but not so much color it gets tasteless...)

My Opera!

Hello, Chesss! Well, the address bar in not technically on the page bar, originally it was right next to the "new page" button which is not part of the page bar. Also, my menu button (that has "File, Edit, View, etc.") comes from http://nontroppo.org/wiki/CustomButtons. I also added the button for pannels there. Some of the buttons and search fields that I need I put in the start bar - very comortable, I must say. My trackball has forward, backward buttons, so if your mouse does not have that, you can put those buttons in the start bar, or just drop them right next to the address bar. Good luck wink

Also, about the skin: at the time of the screenshot I was using Circuito II, but I do not usually focus on one skin for a long time, so the skin can be anything! smile

Thanks for those suggestions Potter:).
i figured out the addressbar to the pagebar problem :
open customize toolbars ,now drag the addresssbar to the extreme left or right of the pagebar.

My trackball has forward, backward buttons, so if your mouse does not have that, you can put those buttons in the start bar, or just drop them right next to the address bar. Good luck

I'm always sure, Jere p
Mac OS has the buttons on the left side (see this), so you don't need to see the sig to know it's Windows. He just uses a Mac look-alike skin wink
