I take the minimalist approach.

@fammcdon how did you change color of font?

I can only change font type of menu bar in Preferences but when I set up another color (eg. yellow) and press OK after that it still is black
when I back to Preferences->Fonts and see menu fonts settings, there is always black color too
faint

maybe it's another unknown bug Opera 7.6 Preview version

It is only possible to remove the Windows title bar in Fullscreen mode. You can find some more ideas on maximizing screen space here and an on my tips page

This is my Opera desktop with my home made home page.

One could almost replace the Windows Taskbar with an Opera Taskbar - this is my status bar, which I usually keep hidden.

One way to toggle the main menu bar is by using Ctrl + F11

With a desktop of 1600x1200, I figured I'd take advantage of Opera's customizability.

So...

Note, couldn't get the attachment under 100000 bytes and keep it readable, so I am hosting it on my site. wink

I keep my Opera minimalistic. Can't stand ugly, cluttered interfaces.

This is Opera 7.54 with Dimmed skin on Windows XP Pro in my preferred resolution of 1280*960:
