Trying out Opera 7.54: blogspot.com problem

I'm currently giving Opera a proper run out in order to evaluate it.

Unfortunately, I've encountered a problem at Blogspot. When I try to create a new account, Blogspot won't let me pass the very first login page. I enter my newly created user name and password, and the form just resets itself.

Firefox takes me to my blog.

As far as I can see, my cookie settings are OK and the same across Opera and Firefox (no 3rd party cookies accepted).

Any ideas as to what's causing the problem?

I'm also having a problem logging in here.

Am I missing something in my settings?

Cookies enabled
Normal cookies: accept all cookies
3rd party cookies: accept only cookies set to the server itself

I have Use cookies to trace password protected pages unchecked.

not had a problem with blogspot much. Theres a page somewhere in support that tells you the different parts of the site that work in each browser.

The site works best in firefox according to the site from what i remember, its used a lot internally there I believe, heaven forbid people actually just go for making sites standards compliant...

Not sure about that site, but I know that for Yahoo you have to have Third party cookies set to the mis-named Refuse all cookies. Refuse all (third-party) cookies will accept cookies from other sites in the same domain, so that my.yahoo.com can access cookies from login.yahoo.com (where their actual login page is), while "Accept only cookies set to the server itself" will not.

Thanks for your help - I'll have a dig through the blogspot site to see what they say.

street_spirit: can you actually log in to blogspot at all?

sgunhouse: I'm pretty sure it's not a cookie problem (at least not that cookie problem), as I can log in with Firefox set to refuse 3rd party cookies.
