Today’s Good News
Have you noticed that we usually debate only the bad things in life.Well, for a change, I thought I’d introduce this thread where anyone can put down current news that they think is good (can be political but not nasty, please, e.g. not Mr Bush catching a cold please!). We can debate the Good News and then move on when someone else posts some more happiness!
So I’ll start with this gem, which will brings tears of joy to many, I am sure.
Chocolate is Good for you
Yes – it’s official
Dark chocolate may be healthier

"I am a sick man.... I am a spiteful man. I am an unattractive man. I believe my liver is diseased. However, I know nothing at all about my disease, and do not know for certain what ails me. I don't consult a doctor for it, and never have, though I have a respect for medicine and doctors. Besides, I am extremely superstitious, sufficiently so to respect medicine, anyway (I am well-educated enough not to be superstitious, but I am superstitious). No, I refuse to consult a doctor from spite. That you probably will not understand. Well, I understand it, though. Of course, I can't explain who it is precisely that I am mortifying in this case by my spite: I am perfectly well aware that I cannot "pay out" the doctors by not consulting them; I know better than anyone that by all this I am only injuring myself and no one else. But still, if I don't consult a doctor it is from spite. My liver is bad, well--let it get worse!"
That's the opening paragraph. Have fun.

I made my own, too. I'm off to pick one up today. Good memories! We've a nice park nearby. You go for the kites Jaybro. My first kite as a wee laddie was when my father made one out of canes, newspapers and cellotape (and of course string and bits of pare in bows). Crivvens, I was as happy as if I got some top of the range thing from a posh toy shop. Great fun, costs little and out in the fresh air.

From that site:
July 9 might be “Internet doomsday” for PC and Mac users who haven’t taken steps to make sure their systems are not infected with what’s being called DNSChanger malware. That’s right: Your Internet connection may not work that day because the safety net now in place from the FBI against the malware will be removed then, and if your computer is infected, you won’t be able to get to the Internet.
And from elsewhere:
The FBI is encouraging users to visit a website run by its security partner, http://www.dcwg.org, that will inform them whether they're infected and explain how to fix the problem. After July 9, infected users won't be able to connect to the Internet.
One of my computers was clean, but I haven't checked out the others yet.
