Opera 4.2 and Pantech Link (P7040)
This website says Opera 4.2 is compatible with my phone. I downloaded and installed it without any problems. It works fine, but for one thing: While in Opera, I cannot use the keyboard to type letters. Push a key, nothing happens. Strangely enough, I can hold down the Function key and type numbers. Just not letters. This means I can't type in a URL.Other than that, Opera is completely functional. I can go to any of the pre-loaded links, etc.
I called AT&T tech support, and they said the problem is that Opera is NOT compatible with the Pantech Link P7040. They advised me to uninstall it. However, I can't even uninstall it. When I go to "delete" - it just gives me the message: FAIL.
At this point AT&T tech support gave up and that was the end of that. Can anyone here help me? I hate the "AT&T Browser" on this phone and really miss Opera, which I had on my old phone. I would like to be able to use it, but If it truly is not compatible, I'd like to know how to delete it.
Many thanks!

Turning off "autocomplete" did the trick. Still can barely use Opera - the phone asks "access the network? y/n" every few seconds, and there's no way to shut that off. But that's not an Opera problem, it's this nightmare of a phone.
