Running opera widgets in background

I have built an Opera Widget recently just to learn. How do i run the opera widget on background while the browser is running without showing widget window? I mean say i want to do something by this widget(preferably display few buttons only) as soon as users does something on the browser but definitely do not want the entire widget window to show up. All i want is to get the widget running without displaying its window.

Widgets don't run inside the browser anymore. They work like separate applications.
If you need a script running in background of Opera, write extension.
