Hi,
pinch to zoom is not so smooth in this S60 version. I m having Symbian ^3 os running . Found little laggy. Links on pages has to be disable during overview because when trying to double tap for zoom some links are clicked. So its better to disable any page links in overview of pages.

So far, I can say that Opera mini 6 for Symbian 60 5th edition is impressive. Although, I noticed a BIG problem. When browsing on mobile view, texts that are listed are folded into a plus(+) icon. When you unfold them by clicking on the plus sign, the texts are displayed. The major problem with this feature is that NOT ALL the texts that are MEANT to be displayed in many websites are displayed. I don't know if the 'text wrapping' option is for this, but if it is, then it's NOT working. This text folding feature should either be corrected or removed.

Opera Mini 6 for Symbian S60 (24095), failing "certificate validity check" and install ends, giving "update error" so can't install. sad Looks like a timeout accessing net whilst checking certificate. Waited for a while and have been trying again every few hours. Cleared cache etc, used different connection method and ISP. No change. sad N95 8GB v30.0.018. m.opera.com via inbuilt phone browser through Wi-Fi (also tried 3G via different ISP.) "Other download options" only gives alternate signings for the non-native mini.

Mini 6 j2me and Mobile 11 for Symbian install and certificates verify just fine - have been trying out the downloads . On the upside, can't believe how fast Mobile 11 is on the N95! smile

Not here. At least not after installing the new Mini over the 5.1 beta 2 version.

How can I turn it on?

I love that Youtube links are now parsed and showed on sites but Mini is feeding very low res streams to the media player :/
176x144 instead of 320x240. From mobile youtube site you can watch higher res without a problem. Also, it still opens default browser after clicking youtube link but that's not a big deal.

2 things i wish to be changed: please make option for disabling cursor/mouse in mobile view. Scrolling with joypad is much more comfortably without mouse.
Speed dial: why cant it be the same one as OM 4.2 have? In 4.2 i can put any bookmark to speed dial with any title i wish and it want reload.

I got the same 'Update error' on my E51. The settings above are as suggested, they are this way in principle.
I managed to upgrade Opera Mobile - I installed 11 over 10.1, but Mini 6 refuses to replace 5.1.

the saved page folder is set to \system\apps\OperaMini\savedpages (n97) by default. But the s60 version of OM won't read the saved page from java version of om (or *.obml files)

Installed and after not even a half hour of use, disinstalled and went back to 5.1beta s60. The biggest problem for me is the fact that the single tap to zoom doesn't work any more, only double tap which makes one handed browsing harder. also noticed problems in page rendering and text sizing which changes often.

This seems to be working more like a java app than a native app. Every time I open the browser it asks for a connection to use. I cannot set a default for this either. Mini 5.1 beta does NOT do this. I might have to go back to the 5.1b version.

I'm trying to sync my bookmarks from Opera Mobile to Opera Mini 6. The bookmarks are displayed correctlyin Opera Link root folder, but the Opera Mini folder is empty. How do I copy the bookmarks to the Mini folder?

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out it has to be done in the browser itself.

The desktop site of Facebook is still unusable with OM6, clicking on most recent just reloads the top news page, disappointed the reload same page problem still exists, some nice improvements in other ways though.

How can't my symbian operamini(5 & 6) connected to the internet while java operamini(all versions) able to connect without problems?
I have mobile internet broadband a.k.a Celcom Broadband..
I use N73-ME, OS9.1 Symbian s60v3 phone.. This is a very annoying problem with the Symbian OperaMini, even my Opera 8.65 & Opera Mobile 10 didn't have this problem.. So sad.. I don't think this is about network issue or wrong configurations, in fact all all other Opera running well except the Symbian OperaMini..

Just noticed that Opera mini 6 has some bugs. When the browser is open & not used for sometime, the browser disconnects from the internet. This is normal, but when you try to reconnect to the internet, the browser will be UNABLE to most times. The other problem is that sometimes when you try to get back to a previous page or a new page, the browser reloads your current page. Hope these problems will be rectified in the next version.

NEED HELP.

I'm using a Sony Ericsson Satio. Installed Opera Mini 6 for S60, but when I try launching the app, I get stuck on the Loading screen. The phone itself is not frozen, because I can do other stuff with it, when I minimize the app. I was looking forward to this, but I'm disappointed now sad

some bugs disappeared, others appeared, others remaining. It is better than beta but difference is small. Highlighting a piece of page, trying to zoom in, it jumps to another sector. It's not always but enough annoying. Jump to search or address bar and press quickly some character - it will disappear. To make it normaly - access a edit bar, wait for few seconds and start imput your text

When you open the browser, go to 'settings', change your protocol to 'socket', then go to 'connection' & select the internet access point of your network provider. Selecting 'Always ask' in the connection option causes this kind of problem you're having sometimes.

Turn it off and you'll see.

It's for... go figure, wrapping text. When you zoom in on a page meant for a larger display, the text will fit to the phone's screen's width, so you'll only have to scroll up and down.

I'd like to have the tiniest fonts to appear in Opera Mini 6 Symbian S60v2 like there was on the java versions of it. The fonts are bigger, and the vertical spacing is greater than the previous versions. It means more and more page scrolling will be done.

Problem on Nokia 6220 when using forums (not this one) mainly phpBB based. If you click on the latest post icon it should and does in OM 4.2 go to the correct last post. However with OM 6 it goes to random posts prior to the last post on the thread. This happens on several different forums.

I use Opera Mini 6 on my Nokia 5800 (Symbian 60 5th) since yesterday. Everything is fine and dandy with one exception: The lettering of the Opera Mini keyboard is much too small, it's tiny and hardly legible! It has always been fine with Opera Mini 5, and I did a clean install (deinstall OM5, reboot device, install OM6).

Oops, you are right! I mistakenly installed the Java version, now I have the proper Symbian version and the keyboard looks fine. Thank you! smile

Following that, one more item of feedback: I really, really need to be able to change the language of Opera Mini, not least because a lot of websites follow the browser language. My phone has a German Symbian version, so Opera is in German, and so are Twitter, Facebook, etc. I have no problem with the OS in German, but I'd really like Opera Mini and my websites to be in English. Is this possible?
Thanks,
capnez

WAP access points in Series 60 devices only accept HTTP connections. If you want to use a Socket connection, I suggest you investigate the Access points on your device and change them as necessary.
