pinch to zoom is not so smooth in this S60 version. I m having Symbian ^3 os running . Found little laggy. Links on pages has to be disable during overview because when trying to double tap for zoom some links are clicked. So its better to disable any page links in overview of pages.

Looks like a timeout accessing net whilst checking certificate. Waited for a while and have been trying again every few hours. Cleared cache etc, used different connection method and ISP. No change.
N95 8GB v30.0.018. m.opera.com via inbuilt phone browser through Wi-Fi (also tried 3G via different ISP.) "Other download options" only gives alternate signings for the non-native mini.Mini 6 j2me and Mobile 11 for Symbian install and certificates verify just fine - have been trying out the downloads . On the upside, can't believe how fast Mobile 11 is on the N95!

Why don't you try disabling the online certificate check option?
App manager--->> Options--->> Settings--->>
Software installation-->> All
Online certif. check --> Off

So far, I can say that Opera mini 6 for Symbian 60 5th edition is impressive. Although, I noticed a BIG problem. When browsing on mobile view, texts that are listed are folded into a plus(+) icon. When you unfold them by clicking on the plus sign, the texts are displayed. The major problem with this feature is that NOT ALL the texts that are MEANT to be displayed in many websites are displayed. I don't know if the 'text wrapping' option is for this, but if it is, then it's NOT working. This text folding feature should either be corrected or removed.
Go to config: and disable "Fold linklists" to turn off the feature.
176x144 instead of 320x240. From mobile youtube site you can watch higher res without a problem. Also, it still opens default browser after clicking youtube link but that's not a big deal.
Speed dial: why cant it be the same one as OM 4.2 have? In 4.2 i can put any bookmark to speed dial with any title i wish and it want reload.

I got the same 'Update error' on my E51. The settings above are as suggested, they are this way in principle.
I managed to upgrade Opera Mobile - I installed 11 over 10.1, but Mini 6 refuses to replace 5.1.

dave.p: There's quite a few issues with m.facebook.com in Mini at the moment. We're waiting on a fix from their side- not too much we can do here just now but wait. :/

I have mobile internet broadband a.k.a Celcom Broadband..
I use N73-ME, OS9.1 Symbian s60v3 phone.. This is a very annoying problem with the Symbian OperaMini, even my Opera 8.65 & Opera Mobile 10 didn't have this problem.. So sad.. I don't think this is about network issue or wrong configurations, in fact all all other Opera running well except the Symbian OperaMini..

I'm using a Sony Ericsson Satio. Installed Opera Mini 6 for S60, but when I try launching the app, I get stuck on the Loading screen. The phone itself is not frozen, because I can do other stuff with it, when I minimize the app. I was looking forward to this, but I'm disappointed now
opera mini 6 it sets protocol on http
even though I put it on socket

socket permanently? My data carrier
supports socket. Everything else is great, good job.

When you open the browser, go to 'settings', change your protocol to 'socket', then go to 'connection' & select the internet access point of your network provider. Selecting 'Always ask' in the connection option causes this kind of problem you're having sometimes.

What is the text wrapping option for?
Turn it off and you'll see.
It's for... go figure, wrapping text. When you zoom in on a page meant for a larger display, the text will fit to the phone's screen's width, so you'll only have to scroll up and down.

Hi

We are looking into this issue.
Is anyone else having problems with this?

Hi capnez, please verify that you are actually installing the Symbian S60 version of Opera Mini from m.opera.com. It should say "Opera Mini 6 for Symbian/S60" when downloading. Thanks!
Oops, you are right! I mistakenly installed the Java version, now I have the proper Symbian version and the keyboard looks fine. Thank you!

Following that, one more item of feedback: I really, really need to be able to change the language of Opera Mini, not least because a lot of websites follow the browser language. My phone has a German Symbian version, so Opera is in German, and so are Twitter, Facebook, etc. I have no problem with the OS in German, but I'd really like Opera Mini and my websites to be in English. Is this possible?
Thanks,
capnez

this bug has been around since what, 3.0? 4.0? I'''''''''ve changed phones 3 or 4 times.
Edit: In addition, while submitting this post, I got a 403 Forbidden - can't post twice within 30 seconds.
Ladies and gentlemen of Opera Software, WTF?!
That bug has been around for a while, also.

hi, i'm having trouble getting mini 6 to remember the setting for network protocol. It keeps reverting to http, and won't stick to sockets. I don't have 3g, so this means i suddenly go from very fast to painfully slow.
Hi, this is getting very annoying, occurring more than 10 times in one session. Any hints what the problem is and how i can fix it?
