User Agent Changing with a unique string! This is soooo imporant!
Then there is an API for Flashlite by Nokia, it is possible to integrate this into your opera engine, or at least push content to it!

http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=942062
These are very important ones.
Then there could be some improvements in the UI considering PowerUser Settings. Also please make a config file for every site, configurable. So incase I want exactly this site to load in mobile, i specify it in advanced site prefs.
Also a change in switching tabs UI... there is a lot of room for gesture controls, especially on Symbian^3
Thanks for finally dropping in!

1. Allow manual entry of desired BROWSER ID string!!!!!
2. Then fix compatibility issues with sites like full desktop Facebook, etc.
3. Visible date/time at top where it says the site name, or with back/menu buttons at bottom.
4. Total bytes transfered for session/lifetime counter.
5. Scrolling site Title at top! Can't read the site title for this thread because it's too long to fit screen and doesn't scroll.
6. Fix out of memory problems on sites as simple as
http://www.ivc.edu/schedule/Pages/default.aspx
that make my Nuron sad.
7. If you're integrating Asian font support, why not Asian keyboards, too?
8. Fix MOBILE view @ 150% not working right with m.yahoo.com, etc. The pages don't fit width of screen still.
9. Integrated RSS.
10. DOWNLOADS don't show file path! I must manually search for the location of the file on the memory card, etc if I forget where it was placed or need to open it with an external app.
11. When zoom is at 125+% for Easier viewing, the opera keyboard and address entry bar do not zoom accordingly! Terrible since I can't see those two clearly with such small fonts.
12. Do NOT add the START page from Opera desktop 11.10! That idea is a failure!!

1: Easier scrolling through long drop down lists/menus
2: Flash support, or at the very least, Flash Lite.
3: Opera Mobile should eat up less RAM
4: A "#" key on the Opera keyboard.
4: The ability to change the name of the file the user is downloading.
5: An option to change the colour scheme of Opera Mobile
Thanks Opera mobile team for all your fab work!

- Add an option to automatically clear private data on exit.
- Add an option to toggle the reloading of the last page visited on startup.
- Make the "send" button work on a Nokia E71.
- Bring stability and speed back to the level of the 10.1. release.
- Fix the issue with multiple trash cans in the bookmarks list when using opera link, especially on systems with different languages.
- Make "mailto" links work with ProfiMail, instead of the built-in Nokia client.
- Reduce the length of the fast scrolling feature a little.
Thank you.

I have the same issue: Mobile View does not fit the width of the screen. In Opera Mini 4 it does, and that's why I'm still stuck using that outdated version.
Tell me, in your install does Mobile View let the user scroll up and down with the left/right buttons, as it did in Opera Mini 4?
Hi,
I have a couple of things:
Start Page:
1) Have ability to assign bookmarks / current page to start page shortcuts. Currently it uses some history type list but this is not always populated correctly so is fairly useless and means I need to manually type the address in.
2) Have the option to replace website screen image with website icon (as is used within bookmarks). Reason for this is that currently v11 forgets these images from time to time and as such requires data to re-populate these page images
General:
1) Have option of clearing cache on exiting Opera
2) Introduce gesture based touchscreen shortcuts as most touchscreen devices can't use the keyboard shortcuts.
3) Increase the number of annual releases to help fix bugs quicker (e.g. Android is on update 4 already).

Yeah, I second that.
Symbian is far from dead :-/ Why isn't UA Changing implemented on Symbian while it was on any other platform already. It ain't so hard to do it! I mean even I can change the Native UA of S60WebKit in some .txt in the private directory, unluckily and luckily this doesn't affect Opera's UA so hell, get it on!

I think this can be done somewhere in opera:config

wish:
faster page loading in Nokia N8 which has limited h/w capacity
less loop loading
support flash in page
hang-free in N8
add user agent switch
resume image show function
less ram demanding
run reasonable speed, better support on heavy script-contained webmail, e.g. Outlook web access, gmail, etc.

Really this is it?! Now we have an option for User Agent Mobile/Desktop?! Where the hell is our field to enter a CUSTOM ONE!? For some sites we desperately neeeeeeed the ability to fully fake it!
Really thank you for your effort, but please listen to us! Android has it, it can't be that hard to do on symbian...

MoritzJT, if you file the web pages not working in bug reports, we can send the reports to our Open The Web team, and they will contact the page and tell them what they need to fix for their page to work.
If they choose to do so, is a different matter though.
But it's easier for all in the end if they make web pages with good code open for all?

No it's not easier. What you said is of course necessary. But in the meantime, there are several websites that restrict their features to desktop sites. Then there are even different sites for different UAs.
Tried Google gbackstop or gorganic layouts on Opera Mobile!? They won't open. Only if I correctly fake an Android User Agent or an iPhone one.
Otherwise I get FORCE redirected. It's driving me nuts! I want TOTAL CONTROL of what I get from the server. It should not be anyhow to the contentprovider on what he wants to deliver.
And there are just so many sites that I'd need to contact, that it would be easier to give this option for the power users.
I mean Android's Opera Mobile has that option in opera:config. It works, I have tested it! Even Windows Mobile's old Opera had it.
Only Symbian get's left out. I mean if it's a technical reason I'd understand, but even I know how to choose the User Agent for a requested URL in QT.
Why won't you provide that simple opera:config thing. It's nothing big!
I guess.
Nevertheless I really appreciate the update, but Users have been screaming for it for ages. And it gives me a feeling of beeing ignored.

It would be nice to make option "Text wrapping" affect page overview mode too.
For now 11.xx versions makes a bit hard to find manually something (images for example) on desktop pages of Wikipedia because Opera Mobile renders page without text wrapping in page overview mode, and after going back to 100% zoom it rerenders it with text wrapping that often jumps page much lower than place I clicked in overview mode.
It loolr like it's issue only on classic keypad available devices, like my N78, because I surprised to see that only I dislike this behavior of 11.xx versions.

hey
thx for great work.
i use it on a symbian s60v3 n86 device. I wish:
1. Less memory usage. Opera eats memory on my n86 and sometimes it closes opera because of low memory or restarts!
2. Copy link address. It is a nice feature to have in long click menu on a link.
3. Flash support. Very useful.
4. A history and auto complete feature for search part.
5. I know this is not very nice but i need it. I want opera to integrate with UC thunder, a download manager for s60. You can see how much it could be helpful. You can give an option to use uc or opera in settings.
Again thanks for great work!

I'm back using Opera Mobile for Symbian 11.1. The last time I used Opera mobile was v8.6.
An old one, but please allow the speed dials to display the website favicon instead of a meaningless snapshot of the webpage at the moment in time you create the speed dial.
Allow the user to change the order of bookmarks, like Opera Mini.
Remove the rubbish/trash bin altogether or at least remove it from the bookmarks section, it doesn't belong there.
I'm using Opera Mobile for Symbian on a Nokia E6. This phone has flash lite installed. Opera Mobile should be able to recognise or utilise that capability. Having said that, the option to block/disable flash would also be valuable, especially if you are using Opera Mobile through a slow network connection.

Earlier I mentioned change the order of bookmarks, like Opera Mini.
Bookmark management in Opera Mobile for Symbian in general is limited and quite poor.
I wish for improved bookmark management. At least the equal of that in Opera Mini.
Oh and while I'm here, I'll repeat...
Favicon's on the speed dials! Please!

i like opera mobile a lot, and i have been using it for over 2 years. I would like to have an option to automatically download files to my downloads folder on my memory card, or at least have it on the list where you choose to download files to instead of manually searching for the downlad folder. Also, flash (lite) would be nice, but i can live without it
Hi,
I'd like to see 2 improvements in Opera Mobile (used on a Nokia C7-00 PR1.2):
- start view: I find it annoying to see always the last web page as start view. I'd prefer the view with the quick start buttons as default just as in Opera Mini
- connections: I have defined a group of connections with WiFi only. This group can't be checked in Opera Mobile. But Opera Mini does.
THX + regards
Roger

please, add bengali language with full keyboard and font. There are many bangladeshi who are using opera browser as their defult browser. And they face a lot of problems with bengali unicode based websites. Please take the proper step to solve the bengali font problem. We think opera mobile is the best all over the world. And there is also a problem with rss feed reader. Please solve these problems.

My top 5 wishes for Opera Mobile on S60 would be:
1) Per site user agent spoofing like daddy Opera including iPhone UA - so we can force the display of lower memory mobile versions of pages
2) Tab "unloading" if more memory is needed to try to prevent causing out-of-memory errors, Safari Mobile uses this strategy.
3) Per site local stylesheets like big Opera to allow users to share "user styles" that force badly designed sites to play nice
4) Better scaling at 75% zoom on portrait QVGA devices (for better "web app" compatibility) -Android browser does way better on QVGA
5) Integrate Opera Mini server rendering and allow per site preference between server or local rendering (for sites that blow out the memory on S60 phones)
Edit: P.S. please hurry up and add support for the apple-touch-icon to speed dial on Opera Mobile like you have on desktop Opera. The site-previews are absurdly small on most mobiles, Opera Mobile developers know this because there are no site profiles on the default speed dials.

i installed a bangla unicode font named "Siyam Rupali" into "c:\system\apps\operaMobile\fonts"
