"Bad Request" Error after Activating Opera Link
I want to transfer data from my LG Rumor Touch to a new LG Optimus V. When I try to activate Opera Link (Settings/Opera Link --> "On") I get the Opera Link login dialog followed by a "Logging In ..." dialog after entering my login info that appears to hang for quite some time (long enough for the screen and keyboard backlights to dim) but which eventually changes to a "Synchronizing Data ..." dialog. The synchronization runs for a bit but ends with a "Bad Request" error dialog that locks up Opera Mini, forcing me to restart Opera. I then have to switch Opera Link back off or Opera continues to lock up, especially when I go to "My Opera."
I want to make sure I can smoothly transfer data to the new phone before deactivating this one ASAP. The workaround that I am using is to <sigh> manually copy and paste each bookmark to Opera Link and hope that the Optimus doesn't have the same issue.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

zoso,
Sorry not to reply sooner. Go ahead and examine the traffic.
I will keep an eye on this thread for the goahead to retry
Thanks
PS
Forgot to mention that since my first post I received a java.io.IOException error message on one of my sync attempts instead of the usual "Bad Request" message.
Thought it had to do with me logging into link.opera.com and executing an opera:sync request in the browser address window prior to turning Opera Link on in the Settings menu, but was unable to replicate the error message.

Check if on internet settings (from your phone) is set somewhere the DNS for active data account and be sure that this field is blank or for an internet APN (instead wap type) try a 'free' DNS instead even that the location tag for mini remote can differ. If sync process doesn't reach the point where is resolved then your provider or opera dns is blocked or something interfere and block the connection on this level - usually the error occur after 3 attempts. I.e. chinese remote block opera link for both google's public dns in this manner (tested with vodafoneRO provider).
God's In His Heaven, All's Right With The World
Thanks for following up on this. Since I posted this I lost my Rumor Touch with the Opera Mini issue and replaced it with an LG Optimus V (which runs Opera Link without any issues), so the point is now moot.
However, I still appreciated that you attempted to find a solution. Thanks a lot.
If you haven't done so, please stop monitoring my Opera Link account.

Hopefully this topic isn't dead yet, because I really require assistance. I'm having the same problem as original poster mentioned. Opera Link on my Opera Mini fails to work. I selected Opera Link on my phone and logged in alright. It takes some time to log in (but that's not the main issue here, because previously when I tried to synchronise, it took a long time to log in too, but it did successfully synchronise with my desktop Opera) and when it finally does, it states "Synchronising data". But seconds later, a message says "Bad Request". I've tried many, many times over a few weeks, but so far Opera Link still fails to work.
...What's going on? This is the first time it has happened to me, and my last successful synchronisation was only a few months ago.
Have gone through many similar 'Opera Link failed to synchronise' forum topics but apparently very few had moderators replying or actually fixing the problem. I have a lot of bookmarks in my Opera Mini that I need to save on to the desktop Opera, so I really need this problem to be fixed. Some have suggested reinstalling Opera Mini, but experience has me fearing that I will lose all my bookmarks, feeds, saved notes and speed dial data.
In case of need for further info, my phone is the Samsung S7550 Blue Earth.
Could someone please help out?
Thank you!

I'm afraid the phone model is not so much important as the Opera Mini version, you run on it.
I'll remember that ^^
koranty: Have tried synchronising this morning. As usual, it freezes at the "Bad Request" message and I had to force close Opera Mini.
