Fighter Jets
The paragraph is composed to review the performance of Sukhoi-35 and F-16. The report is genuinely based on the comments from my cousin who is deployed in IAF and various other personnel who are interested in fighter jets. Basically each and every fighter jet is designed for various missions and is not good to compare. However this topic influenced me as our Half brother Pakistan acquiring F-16 from Lockheed –Martin to overpower the Indian superiority in Sub-continent . F-18 belongs to Lockheed Martin and Sukhoi-35 of Sukhoi Corporation.
F-16
F-16 also known as fighting falcon , which has been developed by Lockheed martin of United states.
It has got advanced peripherals such as Trident missile, P-3 Orion, F-16 Fighting Falcon, F-22 Raptor, C-130 Hercules, A-4AR Fighting hawk and the DSCS-3 satellite. The speed is amazing and doesn’t even require a lengthy runway to soar into sky. This is widely used by USAF, PAF .It has got a bullet shaped structure to avoid air resistance and to be smooth with Hi –Fi technology. The F-16 is a single-engine, supersonic, multi-role tactical aircraft. The F-16 is equipped with an M61 Vulcan 20 mm cannon in the left wing root with the F-16A distinguished by having four vents behind the port for the M61 cannon whereas the subsequent F-16C has only two vents behind the cannon port.
Sukhoi-35
Is a heavy class, long-range, multi-role, air superiority fighter and strike fighter. canard , speed brake
electronically scanned array radar, fly-by-wire, Semi-Active Radar missiles, a two-dimensional asymmetric thrust vectoring system are the attractive features of the fighter jet .Due to the similar features and components it contains, the Sukhoi Su-35 is considered to be a close cousin of the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, a specialized version of the Su-30. India is a major market for Russia in defense hardware equipments. Upgraded engines, new radar, and a digital fly by wire flight control system. Other changes made were glass cockpit, aerial refueling probe, twin-wheel nose gear, more powerful radar, two additional underwing pylons, additional fuel capacity, and larger tail fins with horizontal carbon fiber tips. The jet has got good capability in Dog-fight although analyst says what is the role of dog fight in advanced technology.
Even in recent air show which was held in yelahanka Bangalore , sukhoi won the attention of many .
As I wrote earlier we won’t be able to compare the performances of these 2 fighter jets. F-16 could move faster than a sukhoi. Sukhoi could lift more weight than f-16. Each and every model is designed to meet certain criteria.
A conclusive tip.
I just heard now that , sukhoi is a double seater , where as F-16 is a single seater. Moreover sukhoi is fully automated , so that an error from pilot helps to rethink . The system automatically analyze the error from pilot and confirm the action. As it has got a double engine , there is another option for the pilot to carry plane safely back. Where as a slight error in f-16 forces the pilot for an ejection , which results his end of carrier in flying jets. It’s a missile kept under the seat which pushes you to the sky in case of emergency. An ejection may cause a gap of 3 inch with the back bone .The pilot won’t be fit to fly any jets in his future. Certain options differ from F-16 and sukhoi-35.
We spend chunks of money for the air warriors to get trained by importing advanced machinery, equipments, and peripherals. And when we compare both the planes, sukhoi provides better option to save the pilots life. To conclude I am a true patriot and I would strongly support the IAF minds. The sky is the limit for them.
