About me

I am a single, fifty something, follower and believer of Jesus Christ. About 2 1/2 years ago, I spent several months being unemployed (no unemployment compensation). I survived thanks to the Lord for giving me a Christ - centered family. During that time I did some document preparation, which I still want to develop into a small Internet based business. My parents were also going through cancer treatments and other illnesses. I know the Lord kept me home from October 2005 through April 2006 to be able take part in caring for them. My father went to be with the Lord in September of 2007. My mother is doing well. I went back to work as a child care director/assistant director. I presently have a desire to move on; thus, I am currently a consultant and seeking further new employment.

During the time I was not going out to work, I came to realize that conservatives were not such bad people after all. For the most part I have upheld the conservative outlook, which supported biblical principles of personal responsibility, self-restraint, traditional marriage and family, respect for life (from inception), and believes in equal opportunity for all to succeed after putting forth an effort. But I identified with liberalism because, I saw the liberal outlook as the historical vehicle that allowed me a person of color, equal opportunity. Today’s liberalism does little to support biblical principles. In fact it abounds in secularism. There is very little support for traditional families. Liberalism still cast me a person of color as continual special victim, which personally is not true.

I grew up and lived most of my life in Philadelphia, Pa. I now live in the borough of Lansdale in Montgomery County which is 15 miles from Philly. I am now a registered Republican (after being a Democrat since the 1970s), but see myself as a independent conservative. I wish Pennsylvania had open primaries like other states so I could register as an Independent. My immediate family members are astonished at my going Republican.
