I finally succumbed to the little message in my brain to take some days off from blogging. With such hot topics as the Shirley Sherrod/Andrew Breitbart/Fox News Debacle, the defanging of Arizona's Immigration bill and Rep. Charles (and now Maxine Waters), I tried to ignore the little message, but it grew louder and louder, until I gave in.
I am really frustrated with Opera. The Youtube embedded video problem from a couple of weeks ago was corrected, but I have yet to receive any assistance with the other problem that was caused by Opera. I have reported the table display bug twice in the forums and have not received any replies. The lack of assistance from Opera has caused me to go elsewhere for blogging. I plan to start blogging at Wordpress in the near future. Besides I do not think I will have that problem with recommended books on Wordpress, because I can use the top Amazon book widget in the sidebar which I can't do on Opera.
An Unrelated Tidbit: I am headed down to Philly to attend the Uni-TEA. This TEA Party event is about debunking the racism charges and it received some promotion on Fox and Friends this morning. The last Philly TEA Party event I attended in April of 2009 received no coverage nationally and only a quick mention without any video on one local Philly station. It will be interesting to see how much media coverage the Uni-TEA will receive.
Addition: I just returned home from the Uni-TEA. I even got to go to the After Party. I will be blogging about the event sometime next week when the new blog gets established. When I mentioned the media coverage, I forgot about one of the speakers whose notoriety of late has been negatively pounded in the main stream media. The speaker is Andrew Breitbart. Don't you think instead of being ignored, this Uni-TEA event should be getting substantial (negative, most likely) media coverage?
Ephesians 1:3-10 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.
On the Democratic side, we already know about Alvin Greene who in my view is a strange candidate. I can't see anyone voting for him, but then he won the Democratic senatorial primary. Listen to him in his first public speaking engagement. Check out Mr. Greene's Military Career.
Now to sort of balance Alvin Greene, there is a Republican candidate for Governor of Tennessee named Basil Marceaux, who has yet to win the party's nomination. But Mr. Marceaux could be a Republican gubernatorial candidate as Mr. Greene is a Democrat senatorial candidate! I cannot take Mr. Marceaux seriously. He is someone else who would not get my vote. Listen to Basil Marceaux.
With the popular effort to vote out incumbents, do we seriously have the likes of these two men being elected to hold office in our future?
I have been having problems with loading and display on this blog platform since last Thursday. It has been reported, but I have not received any assistance from Opera yet.
I could not do my Sunday Music post, because of how the video is currently displayed. With my really limited knowledge of coding, I am going to attempt to post the video, I had planned for yesterday. If it appears that the video was up and then it disappeared, that will be due to the post not working across different browsers. I have found in the past for example, my coding alternatives for trying to get around Opera blogging's no "script" and other forbidden codes had only worked on the Opera browser.
I really hope I get some assistance from Opera soon.
I hope you remember Rifqa Bary. She is the Muslim born immigrant teen who converted to Christianity and ran away from home, because she feared she would become another honor killing statistic. She is now an apostate according to Islam. The Quran and the Hadith call for apostates to be put to death. Rifqa continues to live in foster care. She is pressing on to update her immigration status, since it was discovered that her father didn't keep up with the family's immigration papers. Rifqa is being treated for uterine cancer and underwent operations back in the spring.
Rifqa a straight-A student, has graduated from high school with honors. What a fantastic accomplishment, with all she has gone through! Next month she will turn 18 and will be free of the possibility of ever having to be legally forced to be returned to live under her father's roof. Please keep Rifqa in your prayers. See a few photos of her graduation here.
