From a little segment, here is one of my favorite radio talkers, James T. Harris in action as a guest of Earl Ingram on an urban radio station in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Black conservatives are so perplexing in the black community. Unlike me and other black conservatives who eventually saw the light and switched over later in life, Mr. Harris always was a conservative. He identified with conservative Republican principles growing up in a Democrat household.

There has been some controversy from the black community and also there was a little flack coming from the Asian community over Tiger Wood's selection of white women for his marital cheating. As far as the black community is concerned, Tiger has never claimed to be black, even though his father was black. His mother is Thai/Chinese. Tiger says he is cablinasian and puts more emphasis on his Indian and Asian ancestry. But if he wasn't the famous Tiger Woods and you saw him in a shopping mall and had to physically describe him, would describe him as white, Asian, etc. or black?
Well the argument about his doing his adultery with only white women is ridiculous. He violated his marriage vows. He has devastated his family. The current uproar, should be over how he has hurt them. Many are saying that his wife would be a fool to stay with him. I personally hope that Tiger has learned a super big time lesson and that he and his wife are able withstand this horrific blow to their family.
Health Care Marriage Penalty
As the health care bill is now, married people will get hit hard with a penalty. A man and a woman not married, let's say making $30,000 a year will see their premium take a terrific hike of about $12,000 in a years worth of payments if they marry. This penalty is based on their yearly salaries combined and bringing them above the poverty level. Those above the poverty level will be charged more and the excess will go to those who can't afford to pay. Redistribution!! Read more here.
A Too Cute White Christmas
I end with White Christmas. I think this is so cute. This version is that of the Drifters. Both of my parents hated this version and felt the Drifters destroyed this song. Now my father kind of liked the harmony of the Drifters sound, but he had a thing about old popular songs being rearranged with a beat. This Drifter's version grew on me and it is so cute and campy in this video.
Sarah Palin drives most folks on the left to pure distraction. Michele Bachman who is a conservative Republican and represents the congressional 6th district of Minnesota has her share of growing detractors on the left too! I like Sarah Palin, but Rep. Rep. Bachman rates a little higher with me. Listen to her on a bill by By Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass, 4th congressional district) that is worse than universal health care and Cap and Trade. Rep. Barney Frank's financial services takeover bill is not getting much publicity (and it should).
This bill as law would give the President undo financial decision making. It would go beyond the checks and balances between the legislative and the executive branches of government. It would allow the government the authority to undertake massive takeovers of businesses i.e. the President would have lone authority to decide on spending for bailouts with out congressional approval.
Some pro Obama folks would probably be okay with this bill, but Barack Obama is not going to be president for life. The Democrats will not always be in charge. After all, we do go in cycles with the political parties being in power. To all partisans on all sides of the political kaleidescope think about when your person/party is not in power and the president of the opposing party gets this increased power. This bill should be opposed regardless of political persuasion.
There are a few folks in Congress who are calling for the ouster of Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings. Remember he did not have to go through a confirmation process. It started with about twelve and has now grown to fifty three. What took them so long? What about this man is so okay that there is not a moral outrage on a grand scale? What is it about Kevin Jennings that made him an Obama appointee? What does Pres. Obama like about this man. After all his main life purpose is promoting homosexuality for all ages!
The prevailing "life goes on attitude" within the general public where this man is concerned is astonishing. Is it okay with you who are parents of public school children that Kevin Jennings' influence and his educational promotion of homosexuality could be a part of the lesson plans for your child's classroom activities (like in Alameda County, Cal.)? The Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network (GLSEN) organization which Kevin Jennings founded promotes books for children that include descriptions on child molestation, adult-child sex, explicit descriptions of sex acts and tales of cruising restrooms for sex with such book titles as "Queer 13," "Passages of Pride," "Growing Up Gay/Growing Up Lesbian," "In Your Face," "Mama's Boy, Preacher's Son" and "Love & Sex: Ten Stories of Truth." He has also been quoted saying, "Ex-gay messages have no place in our nation's public schools. A line has been drawn. There is no 'other side.'"

Health Care and Congress Democrats/Liberals are lauding the health care bill. I have gotten into it with a few in the local urban radio station chatroom several months back about the negatives of the proposed bill. One got so upset with me about my remarks to the comment, "We're going to get socialized medicine." These people thought Pres. Obama's health care overhaul will fix everything. It has recently been reported that the Senate version of the bill will maintain cuts to medicare. How is that for a part of the health care fix?
Now Think about this! If the health care bill becoming law is such a wonderful thing, how come Congress is exempted from the health care particulars that the rest of us will be under?
Saying No to Objecting Parents For all the parents who have children in public schools, how do you deal with thematic learning units that you find objectionable? How does your school district deal with parental objections. The homeschooling movement is growing due to folks not having private school as an option. They do not like what and how certain subjects/topics are being taught to their children. They do not like how their school districts ignore their objections. Homeschooling use to be primarily the domain of Christian parents; but these days, parents from all belief systems and walks of life are getting into homeschooling.
How would you feel as a parent about your children being taught from a pro gay curriculum. Think about homework and project assignments on a pro gay theme! This is happening in Alemeda County in California. Some parents have made their objections known and have requested an opt-out lesson plan for their children. I wonder if the curriculum will include reading recommended books by Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings that promote 'sex acts between preschoolers!'
In Addition... I blogged earlier this week on conservative talk radio. I named a few of the talkers I currently listen to. I forgot to mention that I also listen on Saturday nights at 9:00 p.m. eastern to Kevin McCullough and Stephen Baldwin Xtreme Radio/TV. I listen to (and view them) on the computer, because none of the radio stations that they are on in southeastern PA come in clear enough for listening. They both know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and deal with the issues of the day from their Christian perspective.
The Obama administration realizes their policies so far have not done much to jolt the economy in relation to jobs. Less people are being hired as more people are being laid off. Efforts such as the current Job Summit has been put in place to do something about job creation. But the efforts are coming from those within the administration who have very little hands on business experience. Many of them do not even have the basic experience of making a payroll. True job creation comes through strong small businesses. Listen to financial counselor Dave Ramsey talk on the efforts of the "after the summit" jobs tour.
