Those who had accepted Jesus Christ as Savior and died fighting for us, are missed beyond what any words could decribe by hurting family and friends. But praise the Lord, they have passed from death unto life e.g. eternal life with God the Father through Jesus Christ.

Happy Mother's Day 2010

Since it is Mother's Day, the music selections are favorites of my Mother.

Happy Mothers's Day to all Moms. I get to celebrate another Mother's Day with my 84 years old Mother. She is still feisty and vibrant and continues in her walk with the Lord. Mother is dealing with illness, but when you see her in action, you know she is not letting it take charge of her life. She still gets excited over food dishes she sees watching cooking programs and enjoys buying up the ingredients and making those dishes. Mother is always getting me to print out a recipe from Paula Deen, The Neelys and all the others from the Food Channel. In recent years, she has become a fan of tennis. This first started with Venus and Serena Wiiliams, but she continues to get excited about tennis championships and now watches them on TV regardless of who is playing. Till this day my mother is a strong woman and is strong in the Lord. God bless her.

This is a picture of my mother back in 1960 taken on Christmas day. I was 9 years old. It is somewhat faded, but it is one of my all time favorite pictures of her. See last year's Mother's Day tribute to see a current picture of her.
