Monthly Abortion Premium!

, , , ...

From Republican Minority House Leader, Rep. John Boehner, Democrat House Leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi says, "government-run health care will require a monthly abortion premium." Rep. Bart Stupak has publicly stated in writing and on cable news channels that he is against government funding of abortion. He and 40 other Democrats want no governmnent, public funding for elective abortions through the health care bill.

Rep. Boehner says,

"Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page government takeover of health care does just that. On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.

What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan. It’s right there on line 16, page 96, section 213, under “Insurance Rating Rules.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account - and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services."

I do not like the spiritual ramifications for this country concerning this abortion measure. Do you really think government, public funded abortion pleases the Lord? Read more about this here. Pray that this government spending for abortion is not successful.

Nancy Pelosi is pro-abortion and in relation to that, here is a repost of a video from almost 16 months ago on this blog of Nancy Pelosi speaking on abstinence being harmful.

Any Democrats Really Against Federally Funded Abortion?

, , , ...

There are Democrats against abortion! Well I knew that. I live with some. There are some Democrats rising up in objection to the funds in the proposed health care bill to pay for abortion on demand. There are about 40 congressional House Democrats including Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich) who will side with Republicans and prevent the health-care bill from coming to the floor for a vote if an amendment with language similar to the Hyde Amendment which did not allow federal funded abortions is not allowed.

Democrats and Speaker Pelosi are not happy with Rep. Stupak, who is adamant about taxpayers not paying for abortions. Rep. Stupak who is the Energy and Commerce subcommittee chairman wants a vote on the House floor to strike language on federal funds paying for abortion. Otherwise Rep. Stupak desires health care reform. He has been working with Democrat leaders, but have yet to come to an agreement over the abortion issue. He has been on C-SPAN and I saw him on Fox and Friends stating his case against funding abortion on demand in the health care bill. Read more here and/or here.

Rep Stupak says,"This is who I am. It's reflective of my district. If it costs me my seat, so be it."

Now, I have found out that Rep. Stupak has been caught telling folks in a town hall meeting that he will go along with abortion i.e federally funded abortion on demand in the health care bill. Read all about that here. The video in the link of his go along with abortion in the health care bill statement has been removed.

What is believable? I guess we will have to wait and see if Rep. Bart Stupak will eventually fall into place, be a good Democrat, hold down the party line and turn his head the other way on the abortion issue with the health care bill. Personally, I hope what I have seen of him on the these news programs is the real deal.

Unconstitutional II

"The Framers wrote the Constitution to protect the individual from the state. And the Constitution is the highest law in the land."

"Requiring every American to purchase a good or service is unconstitutional. It's never been done. It can't be done..."

These quotes are in relation to health care and they come from here where you can also read a very interesting response/non response from the Congressional House Leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi in her interview with CNS news. Really how many folks have really thought of the constitutionality of requiring everyone to purchase health insurance?

Beautiful
I did not vote for Barack Obama and I am critical of his administration, but like with some people that does not extend to personal negative feelings about him, his wife and children. What a great family! They are absolutely beautiful.

Wanting All The Power

, , , ...

Democratic House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi is taking steps to rub the congressional Republican faces deep into the increased Democratic majority rule by doing away with house fairness rules. Obviously the intent of these rule changes are to stamp out any influence of the Republican minority on legislation. With these prospective new rules which could be voted on and go into effect as early as today, the pres-elect can forget about any kind of bi-partisanship in the House.

The fairness rules that Speaker Pelosi wants to change were instituted by Newt Gingrich when he was Speaker of the House. They were included in the Contract with America. With the new rule changes, the majority party will have far more power. Those minority party congressional representatives and the citizens they represent will be locked out in the cold without a key. The Republicans allowed for the minority party to have some legislative influence through the fairness rules, but now under Democratics, minority party legislative influence will be no more.

House Republican leadership sent a letter in protest and will fight them on the house floor. Speaker Pelosi rule changes Here are objections that are included in the letter.

  • The desolution of the six year term limit on committee chairmanships. In fact there will be no term limit.

  • Minority party members will not be able to offer alternatives in free and open debate to proposed legislation.

  • Members are prevented from exposing and offering proposals to large Democratic legislative pieces that hide large tax increases.

Just think how these changes will affect you through the House of Representatives. The representation will be for those who voted in the major political party, which is now Democrat. Read more here. Now is this part of the change that pres-elect Barack Obama is talking about? Gee, Speaker Pelosi must think the Democrats will be the majority in the house into perpetuity.

Note: If you hit this page earlier this morning, you saw a blank page under the title Franken. I was going to do a post on Al Franken unbelievably becoming one of Minnesota's Senators, but the News service that I registered with had a Minnesota news video, whose general embed code which I sadly found out does not work on Opera blogs. It will work on my stand alone Wordpress blog, which will be out in a few weeks. In fact it has script and embed codes for other popular blogging services.

Abstinence is Harmful!

, , , ...

Here is one of our U. S. leaders, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying that promoting sexual abstinence to young people is harmful. Now that is NONSENSE.

Speaker Pelosi who is Catholic is blatantly going against the word of God. I wonder if she has considered the spiritual ramifications of this stand she has taken? Speaker Pelosi wants pro choice e.g. pro abortion/infanticide liberal left folks to fight against sexual abstinence education. She is promoting (as one Youtube commenter said) a gospel of condoms. This is just the kind of news that good conservative living black people like my mother need to be made aware of so they can stop voting Democrat and giving power to the liberal left.

News Flash: God is back on flag documents. The rules have been changed thanks to Republican legislators and citizen protests. Rep. Jim Turner R-Ohio and Sen. Jim Dimint R-S.C. are sponsoring identical “Andrew Larochelle God, Family, and Country Act of 2007" legislation in the House and Senate respectively. Read about this triumph here.

God Gone From Flag Certificates

, , , ...

The congressional House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi has backed a ban of a reference to God on certificates accompanying flags from the U.S. Capitol that are sent to people by request. The ban was initially made by the architect of the Capitol, Steven Ayers. He claims he has the authority to carry out the ban, because someone might be offended.

When this was done on a certificate with a Capitol flag requested by an Eagle Scout to be sent to his grandfather in service to this country, the Eagle Scout contacted Rep. Michael Turner (Rep-Ohio). He and over 100 other Republican supporters sent a protest letter to Speaker Pelosi asking her to reverse the God ban on the certificates.

Now why does the architect feel he is keeping someone from being offended when these request are done for personal reasons?

Shout out to On the wRite side for providing an email source to Speaker Pelosi to object to the God ban on the certificates. I made use of it.
