Health Care and Congress Democrats/Liberals are lauding the health care bill. I have gotten into it with a few in the local urban radio station chatroom several months back about the negatives of the proposed bill. One got so upset with me about my remarks to the comment, "We're going to get socialized medicine." These people thought Pres. Obama's health care overhaul will fix everything. It has recently been reported that the Senate version of the bill will maintain cuts to medicare. How is that for a part of the health care fix?
Now Think about this! If the health care bill becoming law is such a wonderful thing, how come Congress is exempted from the health care particulars that the rest of us will be under?
Saying No to Objecting Parents For all the parents who have children in public schools, how do you deal with thematic learning units that you find objectionable? How does your school district deal with parental objections. The homeschooling movement is growing due to folks not having private school as an option. They do not like what and how certain subjects/topics are being taught to their children. They do not like how their school districts ignore their objections. Homeschooling use to be primarily the domain of Christian parents; but these days, parents from all belief systems and walks of life are getting into homeschooling.
How would you feel as a parent about your children being taught from a pro gay curriculum. Think about homework and project assignments on a pro gay theme! This is happening in Alemeda County in California. Some parents have made their objections known and have requested an opt-out lesson plan for their children. Judge Frank Roesch as ruled against the protesting parents. Read more here. I wonder if the curriculum will include reading recommended books by Safe Schools Czar Kevin Jennings that promote 'sex acts between preschoolers!'
In Addition... I blogged earlier this week on conservative talk radio. I named a few of the talkers I currently listen to. I forgot to mention that I also listen on Saturday nights at 9:00 p.m. eastern to Kevin McCullough and Stephen Baldwin Xtreme Radio/TV. I listen to (and view them) on the computer, because none of the radio stations that they are on in southeastern PA come in clear enough for listening. They both know the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior and deal with the issues of the day from their Christian perspective.
What About Certain Muslims' Thinking in Relation to Major Nidal Hasan? Whether or not you think Major Nidal Hasan's murdering rampage was due to an unbalanced mental state or his carrying out a personal jihad, this act did have an effect on certain Muslims right here in the United States - an effect we better follow real close. There are some Muslims in the U.S. who support Major Hasan's murderous rampage as jihad and call on other U.S. Muslims to do the same in the name of Allah. Read about one here.
A Teen Experiences Sharia Lashings Sixteen years old Silva Kashif of Khartoum in the Sudan was given 50 lashes for wearing a knee length skirt, which was deemed indecent. She was picked up by police, given a kangaroo court style trial and sentenced to 50 lashes, which were immediately carried out. Her parents found out after everything was carried out. This teen girl is a Christian and underage according to the laws for lashing. It appears her situation was out of bounds even for Sharia Law, but Silva and her family are considered infidels under Sharia. Thus, her treatment may receive some kind of justification.
The fact that Silva is a Christian is a strong indication as to why she received that awful treatment. And to think, there are non Muslim people in the Obama administration that are pro Sharia like Legal Counsel, Harold Koh who sees no problem in instituting Sharia Law in this country! Read all about the teen girl incident here via Steve Cooper of the Conservative Monster
This is So Wrong Who as yet to realize Vermont is just about the most liberal leftist state in this country? Judge William Cohen in Vermont is obviously legislating culture in his decision to order the birth mother to give up custody of her daughter to her former lesbian partner. Is the judge activist type doing his part to push the culture? Miller conceived her daughter through artificial insemination while she was in a civil union with Janet Jenkins. Lisa Miller has left the homosexual lifestyle. Janet Jenkins has no biological tie to the child, but Jenkins sued for custody and has won.
Ms. Miller has regretted certain actions she took while in the relationship with Ms. Jenkins. She also stopped complying with the court ordered visitation when her daughter did not want to spend anytime with Janet Jenkins. Lisa Miller is appealing the decision with the legal assistance of Matthew Staver, chairmen of the Christian, Liberty Counsel. This court is really stepping out of bounds in taking custody away from the biological mother and handing the daughter over to a third party. Read more here.
Let the Christmas Wars and Confusion Begin Go to this citizenlink to view a nice upbeat video about the Christmas wars and confusion and other links for taking action against the forever growing trend to do away with the specific references and actual celebration of Christmas. I have already posted on my Facebook page about Best Buy halting the specific mention of Christmas while saluting a Muslim holiday in their current advertising. This movement for Happy Holidays to replace Merry Christmas grows more ridiculous every year.
Do you wonder who will be in the jury of peers for Khalid Sheik Mohammed? Chip Bok Cartoon
Classic: Sen. Lindsey Graham Questioning Attorney General Eric Holder
Sen. Leahy On the Criminal Prosecution of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed Go here to view Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont) defending the prosecution of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in the U.S. court system as oppose to military tribunal. I personally found the Senator to be rather insensitive to the callers. His indirect comparison of U.S. military tribunals to kangaroo courts takes the cake!
Khalid Sheikh Mohammed of Kuwait, Pakistan, and Afghanistan and the mastermind behind 9/11 makes not just a mass murderer, but an enemy combatant. Enemy combatants belongs under military tribunal prosecution. Besides, Sheikh Mohammed wants to defend himself (that's going to be a circus) and use the the public U.S. court system to glorify radical Islam.

Rifqa Bary Update Rifqa Bary is currently in protective custody in her home state of Ohio. She was sent back there by a Florida judge, after seeking merciful sanctuary from her Muslim father who she greatly fears will kill her for converting to Christianity. There was supposed to be a public court hearing on Monday, but it has been postponed to sometime in December. There have been several court in hearings in Ohio that have been closed to the public.
Her father and mother are formerly charging that Rifqa an honor student is incorrigible. The prayer rally that was scheduled for Monday is still in place in Columbus Ohio. Please continue to pray for her. Read more here and read and see screen shots from FaceBook calling for her death. here, which is not a big shock since Islam calls for death to apostates i.e. those who choose to leave Islam.
It's Time to be Heard The Glenn Beck show on Friday was very interesting. The show exclusively dealt with black conservatives. I knew this program was coming, because Facebook (FB) friend Kevin Jackson had requested black conservatives on FB to be a part of the audience. I saw several folks who are my FB friends. The program included a solo segment on Fox Business personality Charles Payne who is the founder CEO of Wall Street Strategies an independent stock market research firm. Here is another segment from that program.
The President's Admirer President Obama has an admirer in the person of former Cuban dictator Fidel Castro. Castro consistently writes about Pres. Obama which is always printed in state media and read with repetition on government-controlled radio and television. Mr. Castro loves that Barack Obama is not from the "establishment" and came from out of nowhere to the President.
He views the President as charismatic, intelligent, sincere, serene, courageous, honest and well-meaning. There is praise for his work ethic. Mr. Castro happily can’t get over the historical nature, the barrier-shattering election and inauguration. Barack Obama is not perfect and Fidel Castro is critical of him for continuing in what he calls the U. S. tradition of strong arming and trickery, but in general views Obama as exceptional in contrast to former Pres. Richard Nixon or George Bush.
With the President coming under constant criticism for policies that are taking us far down the road of socialism, he really does not need any kind of an association with the socialist/Marxist murdering former dictator Fidel Castro of Cuba. Read more about this admiration here.
Fair and Balanced! I am finding out an awful lot of Fox Cable News fans do not really want Fox News to be “Fair and Balanced.” Many feel since all the other news media are leftist, Fox should be totally right sided. The prevailing sentiment is that no one should be on Fox that is not conservative. Only conservative views should be expressed.
I personally feel Fox goes to the right, but MSNBC is more to the left than Fox is to the right. I am finding out there are less Fox viewers like me who enjoy the point/counter point that goes on with hosts like Bill O’Reilly and Neil Cavuto and their guests who hold liberal views. Here is Neil Cavuto explaining “Fair and Balance” to his critical viewers.
A Few From So Many Who Have Paid a
Heavy Price in the Service of Our Country
A veteran amputee name unkown
Paralyzed veteran Capt. Nathaniel Durant
Veteran amputee Dawn Halfaker
Burned veteran Cpl. Aaron Mankin
A Reposting of my sentiments I must first give honor to the veterans who have served in the armed forces of this great country. Thank you for your sacrifice. My father and uncles (his brothers) were WWII veterans. They all returned home back in 1945 in the best physical and mental shape. I have a retired uncle who served some 25 years (give or take a few) in the Air Force. He is a man of great accomplishments.
Many veterans left the armed forces with varying levels of incapacitated physical and mental capabilities due to protecting the United States. Some never got to leave the armed forces and return home. God bless all who have served to protect this country on this Veterans Day. Again thank you so much.
From Republican Minority House Leader, Rep. John Boehner, Democrat House Leader, Rep. Nancy Pelosi says, "government-run health care will require a monthly abortion premium." Rep. Bart Stupak has publicly stated in writing and on cable news channels that he is against government funding of abortion. He and 40 other Democrats want no governmnent, public funding for elective abortions through the health care bill.
Rep. Boehner says,
"Unfortunately, Speaker Pelosi’s 2,032-page government takeover of health care does just that. On line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.
What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan. It’s right there on line 16, page 96, section 213, under “Insurance Rating Rules.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account - and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services."
I do not like the spiritual ramifications for this country concerning this abortion measure. Do you really think government, public funded abortion pleases the Lord? Read more about this here. Pray that this government spending for abortion is not successful.
Nancy Pelosi is pro-abortion and in relation to that, here is a repost of a video from almost 16 months ago on this blog of Nancy Pelosi speaking on abstinence being harmful.
The election outcomes of the 2 gubernatorial races and the one congressional race in upstate New York take center stage today. The conservative Republican party leadership is very happy with the gubernatorial victories in Virgnia and New Jersey. National Democrat leaders are saying the elections were local and do not speak to the Obama administration/policies.
Even though third party conservative candidate Doug Hoffman lost his congressional bid, conservative Republicans feel they have served notice on moderate rhino styled Republicans. Mr. Hoffman's second place showing was within respectable range for a third party candidate. Personally I am trying to go with the conservative Republicans' take on the outcome of this particular race, but it is a little hard.
Political third parties usually get in the way and Mr. Hoffman's lost gave the Democrats their first victory since the Civil War for that 23rd congressional district. Democrats love this Republican infighting that results in a victory for the Donkey Party. I feel the true blame goes to the local Republican leaders that gave the candidacy to extreme moderate i.e. downright leftist Deidre Scozzafava who eventually dropped out and threw her support to the Democrat victor Bill Owens. What were those Republican leader folks thinking?
The Bob McDonnell gubernatorial victory in Virginia was a given. He had a double digit lead in the polls. The voters returned Virginia back into the hands of the Republicans with Mr. McDonnell and voting in Republicans for other state offices. In New Jersey, it was continually being reported that Gov. Jon Corzine and Chris Christie were at a dead heat.
Pres. Obama coming in to campaign in the final days was reported to have helped Gov. Corzine according to polls a day before the election. That did not happen. Democrats say that Mr. Christie's victory over Gov. Corzine has no bearing on Pres. Obama and Democrat leadership. But Pres. Obama went to Jersey to stump for the Gov. Look what happened! It looks like his campaigning gave Chris Christie the bump he needed to get elected New Jersey's next governor.
The gubernatorial wins give Republicans increased hope for 2010 and give strong indication that they are not a dead party as many in my neck of the woods believe.
It's election day all across the country. In my neck of woods, the election is not considered a major one. I am voting for judges, tax collector, borough mayor, school board members and local etc. Regardless of political party and who and what is at stake, every registered voter should be doing their civic duty by casting their vote. Non voting excuses are not acceptable. Please get to your polling place and vote.
The governor's race in New Jersey and Virgina are in the national spotlight do to possible Republican victories. New Jersey Incumbent Governor Jon S. Corzine could lose to Republican challenger Chris Christie, but it is being reported that Pres. Obama's last minute campaigning for Gov. Corzine has given him a few percentage points over Mr. Christie in a few polls. Other poll have them neck in neck. Third party candidate Chris Daggett is proving to be thorn in both the sides of Gov. Corzine and Chris Christie. In Virgina Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob McDonnell has kept a double digit lead in the polls over his Democrat opponent R. Creigh Deeds for some time.
Also in the national spotlight is the congressional race where the Republican candidate Dierdre Scozzafava has been deemed a rhino Republican who is even to the left of some Democrats has bowed out of the election just a couple of day ago and endorsed the Democrat candidate Bill Owens. She had received endorsements from Republican notables such as Newt Gingrich. 3rd party candidate Doug Hoffman who is very conservative received endorsements from notable Republicans such as Fred Thompson and Sarah Palin.
Eyes are upon this race to see if there will be a third party victory. Republicans already got served in the 2006 and the 2008 elections with a national Democrat Victory and now they may get served albeit a smaller serving, but nevertheless a stinging victory from the rejected conservative Doug Hoffman, because he is leading in the polls.
