Terrorism: Fort Hood
Terrorism! An individual who is a Muslim carrying out a personal jihad! But we are being told by Pres. Obama not to jump to conclusions in relation to the Fort Hood tragedy. I was on a chatboard yesterday morning and there was someone who put forth that the rampaging shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan's actions were due to mental problems. I have also read some Facebook comments as well trying to downplay the possible Islamic terrorism aspect. As the old saying goes, "if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck." It is being reported that Major Hasan yelled Allahu Akbar (God is great) right before he started shooting. Well as far as I am concerned, it's a duck. Read more here. Read about the victims which included a newlywed and a pregnant soldier here. Read also about Fort Hood hero Kimberly Munley here.

A Train Wreck
I like Mike Huckabee. He is who I wanted to be the Republican presidential nominee last year. By the time the presidential primary came to Pennsylvania in late April, John McCain had won the nomination. To digress a little bit. At the PA state level Republican and Democrat law makers have a true bond of bi-partisanship when it comes to keeping the primary closed and not letting PA citizens be a part of the presidential primary voting on Super Tuesday one or two. Mike Huckabee has called the election for the Representative of New York's 23rd Congressional district "a train wreck." I agree. In that congressional race Republican (but really a liberal leftist) candidate Deidre Scozzafava dropped out a few days before the election endorsing the Democrat candidate Bill Owens who won. Many noted Republicans like Sarah Palin, Fred Thompson and Rick Santorum supported third party conservative candidate Doug Hoffman. I admit conservative Republicans in the 23rd congressional district where faced with a dilemma, but I agree with Mr. Huckabee that third party candidates generally do not do well. He is right about third parties conservatives benefiting liberals.
