They also must have the right temperatures of flow and return.

SEDBUK stands for the seasonal efficiency of domestic boilers in the UK. The SEDBUK is an important rating and it is a standard rating for efficiency between boilers. This rating can be seen on most boilers. You can usually find it underneath the boiler or under the boiler lid. Correctly installed condensing boilers will almost always have a SEDBUK A rating.

Combination boiler can be of a condensing type. Combination boilers are similar to standard central heating boilers except such units also provide near instantaneous domestic hot water on demand. These boilers are mains fed and require high mains pressure to work, which is perhaps why their uptake has been quite slow to develop in Ireland.

Your combination boiler will give priority to hot water demand over central heating requirements. The newer boiler models contain hot water storage cylinders, allowing for increased hot water flow rate.
