Launch of the Aether Sound Website

, , , ...

Ok, it's been a while since I've updated here, but that's because i've been very busy!
As well as getting right into my degree, Spence and I managed last summer to buy AC/DC's old PA system off ebay, and ship it to the UK from Chicago.
We had our first party with the rig two weeks ago, and it went very well. Now we have got a website up and running, If any of you guys are looking to hire a PA system for a festival or party, head over to aethersound.co.uk and check it out smile

About me as an artist...

, , , ...

My background is in music production and web design, so I am naturally at home with digital media. I came to art by broadening the scope of my exploration, to include other means of communicating visually.
Some of the themes that recur in my work are fractals, which in my work, are representative of the way i perceive the world around me.
When a piece of work is going well, I get excited, not just about how well it is going but also about where it will take me, each piece of work is a journey, and is as much about discovery as it is about creation, a relationship i liken to the feedback between art and society.
Recognising the close relationship between art, culture and society, I feel that art and music can be both the most and least confrontational ways of presenting alternative views on reality.
I like to use my creativity to plant seeds of ideas, rather than to whack people over the head with my philosophy.

Snow? In Plymouth?

,

It's been snowing here in Plymouth, which is a rare event... usually it snows everywhere else, but never here! It didn't snow much, just 20 minutes yesterday, and it must have snowed in the night too cos there were still patches of white stuff around in some peoples gardens this morning! It never quite made it to picture postcard standard though, otherwise i would have posted a picture or two....
