As other people are leaving Opera Community, some are returning. After a long time of not posting anything personal here, and more than a month of not posting anything music-related here, I'm coming back for more Opera Community action. I tried setting up my own eggblog, I moved to Pownce and nothing could replace this blogging service. So, I'm back.

Anyways, on Thursday, Vikki and I went to see previews of The Dark Knight on IMAX and it was absolutely amazing! Seriously - go see it at the cinema, in IMAX - it's worth it.

Christian Bale don't convince me as Batman... He's a good actor, specially at The Machinist, but I think he is the Batman, you know? The movie is fine but I guess it was a kinda boring untill the first half of it. After that, is amazing!

I think Bale plays the part well; I just think the voice he puts on when he's Batman isn't quite right. Though, I can see the intentions behind it.

It has to be said that Heath Ledger is just amazing in the film. Everyone seems to have been mentioning this, but I just presumed it was over-egging his part due to his death in real life. Alas, it was an outstanding performance.

I love the way both the character and whole film is so dark and menacing - it was perfect for the character of Joker. One of my favourite scenes was the Joker outside the hospital building. Funny.

I agree with you. I didn't like the voice also, even knowing why he had to change it.

And about the Joker, it was perfect. I know that it will be for the Movie History forever cos Heath Ledger was simply the best actor in the whole film. And in my opinion he was the best in all Batman's movies. I hated Jim Carey's Joker on the other Batman movie. Was ridiculous.
It's a shame he died, he couldn't do more excellent movies after this.
And yes, the scene of the 'nurse' is great!!

I saw it just a few hours ago, it's excellent, I have to say I love the Joker, he's evil, insane and ruthless and a brilliant mastermind, anyway, the movie is great, with a coherent, interesting story, more entertaining than Batman Begins in several ways
