Opera Community World Tour: Part Two

, , ,

Back in May 2009, I went to Oslo, Norway to visit the lovely people at Opera Software. Before I went, I had the idea of visiting various Opera Community members around the world and staying with them for a few days as part of an Opera Community World Tour. I made my trip to Oslo as the first destination in the World Tour and contacted various members on my return to plot the next stages.

Rather than take a whole block of time off work, I opted to spread the dates out - it's easier to organise and I get to keep my job. This doesn't make the blog posts particularly easy or exciting to follow as it would be one huge world tour with daily blog post updates of my travels, but at least I get to visit a members and that's the most important thing!

So, destination hotspot number two on the list is a country that's closer to home than most others; Wales. I'll soon be heading over the border to visit Dandelion<3 (who recently got awarded the Opera Community Member of the Week crown) and will blog about my adventures. I've been speaking to Dandelion<3 on Opera Community since 2007 and it's about time we spoke in person!

Keep an eye on my blog for Opera Community World Tour updates and, whilst I have a few members on my hit list already, if you're up for playing a future host to myself for a few days, get in touch. It will be educational.

He told me he was scared of being raped. This wasn't anything related to the Opera Community World Tour plans, but more just a personal concern.

I asked you to a gig the other week, but you rejected me. I feel hurt and bruised - emotionally. wink
