Alcopopular! (Volume 2)

Ever since Encyclopedia told me that the their very first debut single was to be released on a swanky hand-crafted 3" CD, I instantly fell in love with twee little Alcopop! Records, and my first impressions were right as Alcopop! quickly found a place in my heart and a way into my wallet - it's certainly lighter since they started releasing songs. But then, it's a small price to pay for happiness, and my ears are far better off for knowing them.
They first got me hooked with their 'Singles Collection' - a one-off fee for the year bought me a whole series of hand-crafted 3" CD singles in various colours and containing the sounds of selected upcoming UK artists. The third in this collection was a compilation CD called 'Alcopopular! (Volume 1)' and in 2008, Alcopopular! is set to return with Volume 2.
So, it's time to dig out your old Sony Walkman, because no longer content with 3" CD production, Alcopop (who in 2008 lost their !) are mixing it up and kicking it old skool and are releasing Volume 2 of the compilation in limited numbers on cassette tape.
You can get your slice of the pie (featuring bands such as Dartz!, Johnny Foreigner, Sky Larkin, The Honey Brothers, Jeremy Warmsley, Sam Isaac and Harry and the Potters) by heading over to the Alcopop Shop and paying the lovely gentle-folk just 4 GBP (EUR | USD).
