Tonight I've been mostly reading Dirty Found! #2 and it made me realise that I've not had any massively interesting Finds throughout this year...
Except for this.

Tom Finch, Vikki and I went to the By The Time I Get To Europe Tour 2008, by Found Magazine last night - and it was awesome.
For those that are unaware of Found Magazine; they collect 'found' stuff - love letters, birthday cards, kids' homework, to-do lists, ticket stubs, poetry on napkins, doodles - anything that gives a glimpse into someone else's life.
If you find something akin to this on the floor, much like I did with the Post-It Love Note around a year ago, scan it in and email Found or send the actual find by snail mail. Found Magazine collect these finds and publish them in magazines, books and on the web. They also find the time to write humorous songs about the extra special finds.
Last night was all about this. The show opened with 19-year-old sword-swallowing prodigy Brett Loudermilk, followed by readings of Found submissions by Found(er) Davy Rothbart and songs by brother Peter Rothbart. The show closed with a local band performing, To Sophia.
It was a good night. Entrance was £5, but it was well worth it - I just wish I'd taken some extra money to buy more merch (CDs and books around £10, Magazines £3 - £7). The tour dates are as follows. If the Found bunch are in a town near you, I heartily recommend going to see them!
That means you, EspenAO and Fred.
OctoberFor the latest info on all these dates, including more information about the venue and how to get there, hit up the 'Events' page on Found Magazine's website.

coxy: just walked all the way to t'other side of the Trafford Centre and back. Nothing exciting happened.
