Coxy Teens

, , , ...

Over the past few weeks I've noticed an increase in visitors to my blog looking for "coxy's teens", "coxy teen" and "coxy porn". This prompted me to check the search terms.

No longer do I have to contend for the top spot in search engines with Sara Cox, DJ Carl Cox, Coxy (of Coxy's Big Break) - but also with NSFW Coxy Teens - Fresh Teen Movies!

I DO NOT OWN A PORN SITE.

I wish I did - I'm sure it'd be profitable - alas, the site is nothing to do with me. Honest, Mum!

Black Dynamite

, , , ...

This just looks like the most amazing film ever - why haven't I seen anything about this before now? Why haven't any of my friends told me about this before now?!

The Darjeeling Limited (2007) / Felon (2008)

, , , ...

The Darjeeling Limited

Last night Vikki and I watched The Darjeeling Limited. I enjoyed it, it was fun - I couldn't quite tell you what it was all about... it was all a bit random, but very watchable. We laughed.

Felon

Tonight Vikki and I watched Felon - where a family man loses everything when he accidentally kills a burglar who broke into his home. I enjoyed it, it was tense - the story was captivating. We cried, nearly.

The Proposition (2005)

The Proposition (Screenshot)

The other night I watched a film that I'd downloaded a while ago, The Proposition. The thing that attracted me to this film was that the screenplay was written by Nick Cave, and my interest in the film increased even more when I seen that it had a 7.5 rating on IMDb.

I'd hate to write a full movie review on my blog, or even give away any plot (hence why I'm reluctant to even write / copy a synopsis) but the movie is good and I recommend that you either buy it, or download it.

Detroit Rock City

, , , ...

Tonight I watched Detroit Rock City for the first time (in full, at least). I'd seen part of the film before in high school when the year above me were watching it in their class, and I went in to watch it too. That's going back to the year 1999 or possibly 2000 - I didn't get to see the whole film though.

Since then, I'd only seen it in the shops once - but when I actually went back to the store with money to buy it, it was gone! I never really shopped online at the time, so never thought to look for the DVD on Amazon - until the other night... after I'd downloaded the torrent (magnet).

It's very much a teen movie where the story centers around a group of kids who idolise KISS (the band) and tells of their journey to see them live in Detroit. IMDB's rating for the movie is above-average (five makes for an average movie, right?) but rates it as not a being great, but I really like it; the movie carries a certain charm.

I've put the film on my Amazon Wishlist and if I don't end up getting it for Christmas, I'll no doubt buy it in the new year - because it's not likely to make its' way to HD DVD anytime soon (yes, I'd love this film in HD).

Surrounded by CDS

, , , ...

It's Vikki's birthday today; but she's been at work all day, and then gone out with friends. So, that has left the day free for me to do whatever I like.

Most of tonight, and in fact, most of today has been spent updating my music library. I've decided that since I've plenty of space and the will to do such a thing over time, my digital music collection needs a clean out of the crap and an update in quality.

All the CDs I own will be re-ripped over a period of months at 256kbps MP3s and artwork collected for each album from various internet sources (but mainly Amazon). Tagging will be provided by MusicBrainz Picard, as always, and for those rarities that aren't in the MusicBrainz Database, I'll be adding them myself.

No doubt this will be a lengthy process. I already have over 60GB of digital music (all encoded 128-192kbps), my music collection grows each week and not all my CDs have been ripped yet. I am currently surrounded by CDs... but then, I am most of the time; since I dont even have enough storage to keep them in, they end up stacked in knee-high piles around my bedroom.

Anyway; today (i think) Pixar have released the first teaser trailer for their new film. No, not Ratatouille, but the one after that, Wall-E. It's on the Apple Trailers site and looks goooooood.

I can't wait to see Ratatouille anyway; how dare Pixar get me over-excited by releasing details of another film! It just makes me want to watch Monsters Inc again. P:

Movie Watch

, , , ...

I think I'm getting quite slack with my blog updates. I don't quite know what to write anymore - or whether anyone actually reads them - but I'll carry on regardless. (I'm sure there's a song in that somewhere).

Well, I guess what I can talk about is what movies I've watched recently. First, the movie everyone's been talking about... Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (IMDB) or Borat Movie, for short. I laughed, I cried (with laughter) and then laughed some more; amid being horrified at the general offensiveness off the Americans in the movie. If you get the chance to, you should go and see it.

Next would be Saw III (IMDB). Well, that's one movie that I don't think I'll want to watch again; it was sick. I am looking forward to Hostel 2 (IMDB) which was previewed beforehand.

On the DVD front, I've watched two films which were alsolutely brilliant! Most recently, and just this weekend, I watched Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (IMDB) or 'the first one' for short. I'd missed this film when it was out at the cinema, and didn't want to see the seond and third until I'd seen the first (makes sense, right?) and so am only just catching up.

Second film I've watched recently is Requiem for a Dream (IMDB) which was another film that had passed me by at its time of release. However, I cuddled up on the couch with my darling girlfriend one night and watched the Amazon rental. It was superb. Very good film, well made and very emotional. A must see.

Well, elsewhere, I've updated my 365 photo album (that's where I take a photo for every day of the year, for those that have forgotten) with some new entries. And the Manchester Christmas Markets start on Thursday, so I'll see you all at the Gluhwein stand in St Ann's Square. Right?

Ratatouille (2007)

I've known about this film for a few years, now - but here's the teaser trailer. This is most likely been shown before screenings of Pixar's Cars. However, it's one to look out for. It's going to be good.

Group Hug

, , , ...

With E3 in full force and news of Opera Web Browser making its debut to the gaming community in more way than one (anyone need a Wii before I continue?), what better excuse to delve deeper into the world of your Nintendo DS handheld.

If you own a DS, or just like the look of them, why not pop over to the Nintendo DS Group and discuss all things DS - talk about latest news and happenings on the scene, let fellow gamers know what you think of the last game you bought or share your online Friend Codes with fellow Opera users for a more wholesome online experience.

For those that like the DS but aren't quite in the mood for games, fear not! Over in the Everything Else forums, you'll find an area dedicated to Films, Music and Books where you can talk, rant or rave about slightly less geeky topics.

So, you've no excuse not to join in the fun; safe in the knowledge that one day you'll be contributing to the Nintendo DS Group discussions directly from your DS - using a browser you know and love.

International Remixer

, , , ...

Its interesting to see new things on the web; and its more interesting to see them come from Yahoo! I should think that soon, I'll have to post about something else - either that or rename my blog so it has Yahoo! in the title.

Well, today I show you the 'International Remixer'. Some of you may be aware that the 49th annual San Francisco International Film Festival, which shines a spotlight on great independent film projects from all over the world, is currently ongoing. This year, on their website, they have the 'International Remixer' which has been created by Yahoo! Research Berkeley and San Francisco State University.

So, what is this thing? International Remixer enables you to create your very own movie mashups. Go crazy with creativity and re-edit, remix and mash-up film selections from this year's festival into 1-minute remixes. You can then post your remixes to the site gallery for others to view and enjoy.

Its a great little web-based tool that looks the part and works superbly well. If you have any ideas, complaints, comments, feedback or just want to chat about the remixer, Yahoo! want to hear it.

Can't wait to try it out? I've registered a generic account for you all to toy about with:
Click through to the Remixer and login using the username blogreader and password password.
