This was Ernie's second digital workshop of the year.
Following on from the mounting presentation that Ernie and Vittorio gave at the start of the year Ernie showed the members how to prepare their images for mounting.
He explained how to put a fine key line around images and also how to select a colour from the image to put around the print.
He also looked at how to prepare images for producing panoramic landscapes using the "Photomerge" tool in Photoshop.
He finished with a quick explanation on "Curves", which I found very useful and am certainly looking forward to curves part 2.
Many thanks Ernie

This evening we had the pleasure of having Jim Moreland (FBIPP, FRPS) at the club.
Jim is a long time member of CBPPU and their current Chairman. Jim is also heavily involved in the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) and has been a judge for the society for over 10 years.
This evening Jim brought along some of the panels submitted to the society for both the Licentiateship and Associateship distinctions.
Most of these were projected and gave the members an idea of the quality expected by the RPS.
He finished by showing us some prints submitted by two photographers from Hong Kong for an Associateship distinction. Jim commented before showing them, that they were so good that if the photographers had submitted another 5 each, they would have awarded the Fellowship distinction.
They certainly were fantastic prints, and well worth seeing.
Many thanks to Jim for coming to the club and sharing them with us.
