I would like to welcome all members back to the CPA for our new year starting in September. I would like to thank our Programme Secretary, Colin McGregor, for putting together a very interesting programme and those involved in arranging the printing and distribution of it. I hope your photographic skills and cameras were put to use, more than mine, during the break and I look forward to seeing the results.
So inspired by the programme talks and challenged by the competitions I look forward to seeing you all, existing and new members, on Tuesday nights at Morton Community Centre.

On Tuesday 10th June 13 club members and 2 spouses’ enjoyed a visit to Stormont.
We were given a tour and a detailed history of the building and allowed to photograph parts of the inside including the Great Hall and the Long Gallery.
We finished with a cup of tea and biscuit.

On Tuesday 20th, CPA club members were treated to a visit to renowned local photographer David Graham at his studio in Hillsborough.
David openly spoke to us about his photographic techniques and answered all questions he was asked.
After refreshments he demonstrated his skills when he photographed our own Will McCrum, using his front projection system, which allows him to use any background he chooses (image on right).

The following outings have been arranged for the 3 Tuesdays in June that we are not at the club:
- 10th June: Stormont - meeting at 7:20 at the side entrance from Massey Avenue
- 17th June: Mountstewart - meeting in the grounds from 7:00pm
- 24th June: Sketrick - meeting at Daft Eddies at 7:30pm
Two summer outings have been arranged as follows:
- 26th July: North Antrim Cost - meeting at the Ballintoy car park at 10:00am

The CPA vs CBPPU print battle was held at the club rooms on Tuesday 13th of May.
8 members of CBPPU came to the club.
The judge on the night was John Belshaw from Shorts Camera Club.
He judged 20 monochrome prints and 20 colour prints, 20 from each club.
The results were as follows: Mono- CPA 56 / CBPPU 70, Colour CPA 62 / CBPPU 71
Congratulations to the guys from CBPPU, we look forward to getting our own back next year.
