Tuesday, January 5, 2010 11:29:45 PM
So, Opera 10.50 is now available on Linux, let's test it \o/
After a few days, I've decided to run some benchmarks on Linux (Debian Squeeze) and compare it with other browsers such as Firefox 3.7 and Google Chrome.
Those tests were ran with :
- Debian Squeeze
- Intel Core Quad Q6600 (2.4 Ghz)
- 2GB PC8500 OCZ
- Nvidia GTX260
Here is what we have on the start line :

Note : Chromium 5.0.313.0 fails.

Update (2010-02-02) : Chromium 5.0.313.0 takes the lead.
Update (2010-01-31) : Finally, Opera 10.50 (build 6204) and Google Chrome are ex-aequo. The last one is Firefox 3.7 which is in a galaxy far, far away.
2010-01-05 : Globally, Google Chrome gets first, the second one is Opera, and the last one is Firefox 3.7 which is in a galaxy far, far away.
The difference between Google Chrome and Opera is quite ridiculous.
I guess Opera will show us great things in the next months.
