So let me break the merry news:
Opera will be "one less thing you need to download after installation", as Matt Olander, CTO of iXsystems puts it, to get "a more usable system" out of your PC-BSD box: happy browsing!
iXsystems, an enterprise-class hardware solution provider and corporate sponsor of PC-BSD, announced today a redistribution agreement with Opera Software that will allow the next version of PC-BSD to have an option for the user to select Opera as the default web browser.

It's very easy to Install and worked on my old Laptop out of the Box!
