libX11

A recent update on several Linux distros of libX11, to patch CVE-2007-1667, causes Opera to crash on startup - we have released a weekly hotfix build that fixes the problem.
So far Debian, Ubuntu, Gentoo, Arch, openSUSE and Mandriva seem to be affected - who's next?
This issue means also that it becomes difficult to run any Opera version before 9.20 on updated systems - which is extremely unfortunate for web developers that want to test in earlier versions. Tarquin gives a good advice on how to work around this:
We are working very hard to be able to release a final 9.20 ASAP - thanks for your patience, and Happy Easter.
Update:
One more build has been released with additional fixes. Please update to that one instead of to older hotifx builds.

If you need to test in earlier versions of Opera, change the "DefaultDepth" option to 16 in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.

Arch is affected since the very first day too, btw.
