feldgendler, I use bitlbee in irssi, but I could live without. I guess I forgot GNU Coreutils, though…

And I don't think I run the risk of getting rid of the one GUI app - and in case, I'd not be sure which text browser would be of my choice. I couldn't make up my mind yet, but somehow I really like the only tabbed text browser I know of, w3m.

At least elinks is tabbed as well.

I would have assumed you were obliged to use an IDE of some sort at work.
